Any old hands recognise this rear shock? Was taken off cb500, now wrecked many moons ago. It's definately rebuildable. Both the top mount and the peice where the rod goes trough are able to be un screwed. There are no decernable
markings. More curious than anything out. They're definately not Konis.

Never had the heart to throw them out as I thought one day I may get they may come in handy. Has a plastic sheath between the spring and the body.

5 spring preload positions which are adjusted by a peg spanner via 4 holes.

Never used them myself, prefering Konis now IKON(expensive) or Taiwanese ones(at around $150 a pair). The plastic sheath was the giveaway. It's ment to be suspended from the top.

Next step see if I can find how much damping oil they had.

Edit- now that I think about it Gerties Konis have been on her for around 80,000kms and still seem ok.

Edit- now that I think about it Gerties Konis have been on her for around 80,000kms and still seem ok. i had a bit of a mix up when i bought the rear damper for my TLS which resulted in a guy from Hagon in england ringing me...in conversation he mentioned that Hagon bought Koni.............

I thought current Koni does car suspension only. Seperated/sold the motorcycle side of things from what I understand

Edit- found this http://www.proven.com.au/ Seems they come under the same umbrella.

For a while there you couldn't get Koni m/c shocks, they sort of vanished in a company reshuffle, then IKON appeared, obviously using the same tooling.

Really surprised when i found out that Hagon were going to make a rear damper for the TLS to replace the rotary one......heard a whisper on another web-site and then sure enough it proved to be true.....works real well and a fair bit cheaper than the ohlins.......there still making a lot of shocks for older bikes which is a great thing for those of us that like living in the past....:Punk:

The guy that rang me all the way over here in NZ when he really didnt have to which really impressed was a bloke called Peter Leech email sales@hagon-shocks.co.uk tell him a bloke over here that bought a damper for a TL reckoned he could help...................
