I R back from the Coromandel place.

I didn't drown, but by the gods, it was a close thing, the weather was SHITE!

Fortunately, had enough sun to get my dose of Melanoma risk, and drink a LOT of beer.

So, rock on ride time... rock on I say!:Punk:

Bugger

Working tomorrow night 1800 - 0600

All going well, it will be a reasonably quiet night, so I may be able to get some sleep on station, and the ride will be a happening thing.

Will advise, but treat me as a starter for now!

Ok Guys, info has been sent to those registered via PM's.
As for the sunday requests. The rides have always alternated between Saturday and Sunday to cater for those who can make one day but not the other. The last ride was a Sunday, and the next one will be a Sunday.

Was that you guys parked up some back road behind kaiaua last weekend? Looked like a bunch of bikers either practicing some stuff or watching someone about to do something stoopid! :)

Hi Guys,

Just an additional comment about the weather, some of the roads that we are going on will be quite twisty and can get slippery when wet. If you have no experiance with riding in wet conditions, or little experiance with riding at all it might be best to come on a ride when the conditions are better.
At the end of the day we dont want to be telling people not to come, but even more we dont want to be picking people out of the gutter and putting broken bikes on trailers,

And what do you know ... somethings come up ... my chainsaw and I (yes an actual chainsaw .. not the hyo hyo) have been co-opted to a mates place on saturday ... he's moving oversea's and needs my help ...

Sucks being a good friend sometimes ... but what can ya do.

Next time lads and ladies :(

It was actually really good, weather was a bit cloudy on the way out to Kaiaua, started to get a bit dark after lunch so we moved on, caught a couple of light showers around clevedon, but other than that was a nice dry trip :)
So much for everyone else who signed up, we know who the hardcore bikers really are! :p

Looks like your weather geenie came through Mav. Sounds like you boys had a nice ride, shame no pickies?

When's the next ride likely to be? Hope I can make the next one (and have the confidence back a bit!).

Happy texting with your special lady by the way. Vvvv vvvv smile:yes:

Cheers

Hey Squeek, not us me thinks. Must have been another bunch of riders - unless we've got clones. Only really stopped at the Kaiaua chippy for some tukka (only 4 of us last weekend - went for a nice relaxed ride). Only other stops were liquid refreshment for the bikes.

Of course it rained in Clevedon - apparently it ALWAYS rains in Clevedon....that's where I got completely soaked on the way home from the New Years eve ride, (after getting rained on there at the START of the ny ride.

I think your weather genie has a voodoo doll with Clevedons name on it?

As per PM... I would love to have tagged along, but was in the land of nod after a night of watching rampant stupidity and projectile vomiting...

Will make sure I am not working the night before the next ride...

Still, I'm off on a pootle out to foreign parts shortly, to make up for missing yesterday, the land where Banjos are plucked, and 12 fingered children clap along to their favourite C&W ballads.

Yes, I am going to Waiuku - joy!

(Leaving in in 30~60 mins if anyone is up for an impromptu learners run there and back...)

Good ride...

I kept leaving indicators on after roundabouts (each roundabout i was running my off through my head :innocent:) but apart from one or two 'oh shit' moments 'twas all good.

Oh bugger, still need to get some bulbs..

Gosh, don't post stuff like this up - it may give the wrong impression that bikes are kewl and have a chick pulling magnet on them! Now imagine the scene if Mav was riding a scooter...

I think Mav must be packing Pick-Up-Genie TM now - or is that Aussie Twang he picked up when he was in parts foreign? :shit:

Basicly: Mav picked up a bike, and a bike picked up a girl. If mav is not on the bike, the girl is not with Mav. :blip:

Mav, two of you have lots on comon... you are both in love with your bike :dodge:

Hehe, finally got out on a little group ride today with Chisanga and McJim... nice little pootle around familiar environment...

Pakuranga > Whitford > Maraetai > Clendon > Hunuas ... left the group when they were making the return trip back home (foot acting up...time to rest it!)

Nice work Chisanga, you rode nice and smooth - and rode at a pace you set for yourself! Was good for me to pootle around behind and fall in love  with my little ol'Hornet all over again (man, no riding for two weeks :crybaby:)

Thanks to Chickadee for feeding the starving black hole that is the anomaly for my stomach! Drooled over some Ducks with McJim, blasted my stebel once and I got a nice ride out of it all!

Excelsior! :sunny:

Was an awesome ride over some great roads that i had never been down before. Everything went spectacularly well apart from McJim trying to murder a poor innocent pussy cat that ran out in front of him :)
So much exploring to do to discover more roads like this.

Thanks to GIJoe, McJim and Chickadee I had a great time

Aye twas a good wee run this evening. shat a brick when kamikazee kat appeared as if from nowhere and tried to break it's neck using my front wheel.

Cheese Hanger - well ridden - you'll benefit from RRRS this weekend though - learning how to emergency stop properly is a really useful skill - If I hadn't been to RRRS I'd have been flat on my face after the cat incident.

gijoe - marvellous TEC work as always.

Untill next time dudes. (When you'll have to keep up with Chickadee and I'll do the babysitting!)

Chisanga - I asked the boss - she sez here at 7:30am for Whenuapai.

Yes, I did see that shot of grease lightning across the road ... I was really hoping none of us would hit it! Now if it was a duck... :angry2: What you didn't notice was a huge flock of sparrows that your VTRs disturbed when we rode out from Maraetai! I breathed a sigh of relief when they flew opposite away (me being TEC would end up with the lot...and I've had enough to do with ducks already!)

Anyhow, I'm always out and about (as my foot lets me!) ... pootling off to parts unknown (even to me!)
