went looking at them last week at Wellington motorcycles..I really like the night rod and the street rod, but i think I'll wait another year or so. like the wheelie and stoppie thing too much at the mo and will never learn how to wheelie properly on a harley. I am however going to testride a buell too to see what they are like...one of the welly fast crew bought one and i like it alot!

motomarini is a nice bike indeed..stop with all the choices...I have a hard enough time making my mind up as it is.
CB1300..what sort of a car is that?
I just want a bike that will power wheelie at 50kms/h..my r1 only lifts at about 90. Ridden the '03 r1 and that was way more fun than my '06, but apparently there is a box thingy that you can put in the r1 that gets rid of the flat spots in fiirst and second.Know what it is by any chance?

Power commander 3 - If your going for one of them, I've been told you should put an OM pipe on first. Then get the bike on the Dyno. Sparkybills (the used car salesman) should be able to hook you up with a deal.
I've been looking closely at the Aprilia Tuono... They look like some entertainment. A RSV Mille motor, RSV Frame only naked.
I'm with you however, the whole sportbike thing has lost some of its appeal. Especially since I'm getting more keen to get on the track, than the road.

I've been looking closely at the Aprilia Tuono...
Just spoke to Fergus at TSS and they are getting a KTM Superduke demo and a apprillia tuono demo at the end of February...so that sounds like us then..can take both out on the same day and ride them back to back..we should get two more guys to take out a Buell and a Moto morini at the same time...then we can really have fun.

Be good to compare the new Tuono to my Ape. All of those bikes have good reps though. Not one of them can I afford...but the Superdukes are good buying second hand at the moment. I just don't like the way the name sounds when you say it with a lisp.

Cept for the cheap brake fluid container...... surely they could of put a nice one on there since it stands out more on a naked bike , like the naked MV where the brake and clutch containers mirror the shape of the speedo assembly....

Had a look at the Superduke and the Tripple at Manfield on aterday. They were parked next to one another so i had a good opportunity to compare the two on looks and i like the SD way more. Won't bother testriding the tripple..just don't like it enough to buy it.

I made a point a couple of times to take note of how she rattled, but only sationary..which, thinking about it now, obviously wasn't an issue when i was riding her. When stood still, she did rattle but nothing untoward, the mirrors were still usable and my bones and teeth weren't chattering ;) No biggy on the wrists, but like i said in the link, i'd need to have her for longer as i was very stiff in an unfamiliar position.

Hey Darkman as Lou has already posted AMPS have 2 SuperDukes 2nd hand (well they did before Christmas) sitting on the floor. I've just come back from 10 days in the SI and covered 5400km's in 7.5 days. Mine now has 24500k's on the clock & still going strong. The most fun I've had on 2 wheels (or one) with my pants on  .

Took two bikes out this morning. The GSXR1000K7 and the Superduke.
The Gixxer was really good to ride...thought it was very similar to the 06 R1. Handled really well and gearbox was a real ease to use.Overall it is quite a nice bike...just hate the exhaust. The power is not as crazy, way smoother, as the older versions but front comes up nicely in 2nd at about 110 on the power.is good!
Took the Superduke out at around 12:30 and what can i say other than I am still smiling!!!What a great fun bike to ride!!!Was like getting back on a dirt bike...i just love this bike. It does power wheelies at around 30km/h and i am not good at stoppies at all, but could really become a pro on this thing...was so easy!!Could not get the front up in second though..but only spend about 20minutes on the bike.will definitely have to go and take it out again.
Ah man...I know what i'm dreaming about tonight.
