Oooohhh....now THAT's a Mustang. I would be sorely tempted to give up biking, but I wouldn't.
Is this the concept for the next generation of Mustangs? Looks like they've taken a lot from Unique Performance's treatment of the GT500E.
A quick Squizz at Wikipedia reveals this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Hertz_RentARacer_Dscn8218.jpg) model also.
Finally, Ford are making modern Mustangs that hark back to the classics of the late '60s and early '70s.

Got it in one. Driving a car is fun, riding a bike is a passion.
Would surrender left testicle for that car, but will not go without a bike again after the last year or 2 stretched to 6.
Would give 2 testicles, half a liver and a kidney to GUARANTEE I will always have a good bike.

I'm with Slash on this one. Only thing that would keep me on the bike and not in that car is how much gas it would suck down while stuck in traffic
Funny all the people here that can't appretiate an American muscle car. Y'all do know that your Holdens are running Chevy engines right? And Cheverolet is an American company more known for it trucks and classic muscle cars.

R7 is limited to a 100HP in standard form (hard to find - most have R1 engines in them now), and race kits MAY be available.
I'd choose a Suzuki A100 over that "thing". I know who'd be laughing at on the commute every morning.

Chevrolet and Holden are part of decidedly unprofitable international conglomerate called General Motors that has no qualms in moving various components around from different parts of its empire to include in others. Like V8 engines made by Chevrolet, all-wheel-drive systems made by Subaru, heated seat systems made by Saab, and twin-spark engines made by Alfa Romeo.
Even in the US of A, Dodge, Chevrolet and also Cadillac share many of the same vehicles and major components (like engines and floorpans) but with different badges.

IF it was a P-51 Mustang.....
But otherwise it is a 4-wheeled conveyance. These are only necessary for carrying large items that do not fit on a bike, and the boot space on a fraud mustang would be pitiful at best, and towing trailers. (oops, AND for sitting in traffic gridlock in).

Can think of better cars to waste 150 large on...some that will actually drive well enough to put a grin on your face almost half as big as a cheap bike would...that's a poser car and would be dealt to very quickly on a track by many cages. Still, it's your personal choice but a classic 'Stang would be far classier!

If your starting out, in 10 years you might be able to call yourself a biker. Depends on the experiences you've had and the passion you still feel.

Hahaha, I've never seen so many holier than thou sentiments..."cars are crap"..."bikes move the soul"..."cages are just small trucks" yada yada yet we've all got 'em.
I guarantee if you won that thing in a lottery 9 out of 10 of you would want to take it for a spin and 9 out of 10 of you would have a smile on your face as soon as you started it up and gave it a rev.
I just about laughed myself stupid (it's a medical condition) at the styling comments from the pilots of bikes that are the styling equivalent of Supernanny.
I also laughed myself stupid (yes, again, it's a permanent medical condition) at the comments about handling/shitty cars/I love bikes etc....but they admit to wanting a frikkin' 4 wheel drive! They actually want and/or choose to own a "passenger truck"??!! The mind boggles...(that medical condition again)
This poll is car or bike... not a bastardised cheaper combination of both. It's a simple question...
...and the simple answer is that most of us need a car. Even those who say they've never had a car licence have needed a car at some stage. I need a car so I figure it might as well be a nice one. Sure it's not to everyones taste but it beats commuting in the rain or wind, it beats strapping shit onto your sportsbike (keep that cruiser away from me, Satan!)when you are going away for a weekend, it beats having to leave my best mate (muttly) at home whenever I go out, it's nice to pull up with my partner of nearly 20 years (no, not muttly) and "go the grope" like a couple of teenages when we are on our way home from a movie etc etc.
I'd take the original over the latest iteration but beggars can't be choosers. You poontzy Ferrari types can turn up to the yacht club in your tie and fake tan, I'll stick to turning up to the barbecue wearing a tee shirt, with grease under my fingernails, in this:

even though the selby gt mustang is a beautiful car would not give up biking for any car any day, bikes are just far superior in every fashion

Ahem...................No
I would consider it for a Bugatti Veyron 16.4 if someone else was picking up the running costs...

I rode through the 70's, 80's 90's and am still riding. Started at 17 on a KH 250 and rode most makes and sizes.
If you have to think about the answer, well.. unfortunately your not the type of person I need to meet.
Never owned a car, why would I want to?
If your starting out, in 10 years you might be able to call yourself a biker. Depends on the experiences you've had and the passion you still feel.
It's either in your bones or it's not. Like the cold on an early morning winters ride (do you love it or just want the ride to end so you can get warm?).
I've never owned a car and don't particularly want to, unless one my my dream machines were to fall into my lap figuratively speaking, would you call me a biker?
Yet I riding on those cold winter mornings, I also riding in the rain. Snow and sleet are right out of the equation.

40K would get me three bikes.
the 150K for that PoS wankmobile would get me a huge fleet of bikes, a van to cart the off-roaders around, a people mover to haul the tribe around in and a fully restored classic car - with change left over.
Thing is, I don't need that much. An old light off-roader to hack around with off road, my XT225 to commute and tour on and an old BMW R100CS for comfortable 2-up touring. A serviceable car to fit the kids in (ours will soon not be able to fit me, strayjuliet and the 4 kids so, damn, I'm just going to have to ride the motorbike to wherever we want to go together) with a tow ball for a trailer and a trailer to lug the off-roader and the kids' bikes.
I'd get change out of the 40K (especially as we already have the XT and a functional cage.)

Impractical??? Isn't impraticality the problem with bikes?
Nothing like the the impracticality of the front overhang of that thing. Honestly, what road in NZ are you going to be able to drive that thing on without destroying the chin spoiler. You couldn't even drive it onto a petrol station forecourt. My bike will take me anywhere. Don't get me wrong, I love all performance machines, owned plenty of fast modified cars myself. But that car is just stupid for use on a public road.

Wow...a snobby judgemental beemer rider. How unique
Yep, deserved that. Sorry for the sanctimonious bullshit posted last night after a few beers (got to get out more). Hanging head in shame.

Sorry, wrong.
Well not really. The only car that will compete with big bikes to my knowledge is the Bugatti. I don't really ever expect to see one of those on the road in this country so for practical purposes they might as well not exist.
If you are thinking of buying one though Sarge I would like to come for a ride
Even the relatively humble Hornet 919 should go 0 to 160kph and stop before your HSV, FPV, BMW, or whatever, can get to 160.

Without a lie if I were given something super fast exotic blah blah I would sell it, buy myself something adequately fun to drive and spend the rest of the money on a great bike. I used to love cars, buy all the mags, and have not missed an episode of Top Gear for the last 3 years... but flash cars are just nice things to look at now.
I get/got shit loads of enjoyment out of my $600 under-performing Daihatsu Charade.
