After selling my "beloved" BMX on Trademe, I need to find a way to post it to Timaru (from Upper Hutt/Wellington).

Are there any courier companies any of you would recommend? At the moment it's packed into a box about 2x1x0.5 metres.

Any help would be awesome.

Can't recommend any as our work has a real special deal cause the amount we put through.... Just ring about the various Couriers and transport companies, give them the size and weight see who's got the best price...

Do they do that? So I'd just like, roll in and be all like "yo here's a bike in a sweet box, how much for you guys to get it to Timaru?"

Yes, I sent a bike to Aucks by doing the same thing, and without the box.

Go talk to Andrew at the Cycle Centre on Main St. He has a number of contacts in the BMX crowd and may be able to help out there as well.

Hey, thanks for the advice. I rang them up and they said they'd do it for $40. I presume they send it to a cycle store in Timaru, and the person picks it up from there?

Yeah, Andrew's a good bloke. He's been really helpful with getting Tim's race bike running really well. We bought all our bicycles there, and I'm buying two more next week as well, so he's sold me 9 bikes now...
