Whats wrong with my Gn250

My 2002 Japan-made Gn250 has clocked 80,000km. For a hard ridden bike, its has gone through top and bottom overhaul, rebore and piston and rings change, clutch plates and housing replacement..to date. However, I have having this nagging problem for a while. The gears are to hard to shift around making a thud sound each time. Power delivery is poor and I have replace my second set of clutch plates in 10,000 kilometers. Something is not right in the area of transmission and can't seem to figure out what is it. Anyone encounter a similar disease from the mighty GN250?

the only disease I ever caught from a ride called Ginny was cleared up by a decent course of penicillin

Singapore is an island city where the mightty gn250 is in its element. Not a courier but it get well used everywhere by me. All I can say when the gn250 are running well. they are unbeatable for the use. Also, in a congested filled location where monetary disincentives are created by displacement and fuel, the cubes and thirst of the gn keeps the wallet friendly and the pockets heavy. A winner..

I agree! Good luck finding out what's wrong, those clutchy things can be difficult. You may have the most cared-for GN in the world if you have done all that stuff to it. Good on ya mate!

Thanks,Have the clutch springs been replaced? The steel plates in the clutch assy may need a bit of a roughen up also. Suzuki should use your bike in it's promotion material ;)
