This trip was unfinished business for me. The last time I loaded a bike onto the Interisland Ferry I didn't get to bring it back. I also had ten YEARS off motorcycling, despite being utterly obsessed with the "Motorcycling Experience". I became the sad old git in the office that used to have a bike, and bought mountains of motorcycle magazines, to keep the obsession alive.

I'm glad I had the break, because physically and mentally I would have been incapable of enjoying riding. Even now it can be a bit of a struggle because my right arm is quite weak and lacking in sensation, and I get tired a lot more easily than I used to. I have to watch the types of food and drink I have when riding, to stay on top of my physical symptoms. But do you know what?

It's worth it.

It's nice to be "home".

The bugger moaned all the way, kept complaining about the wonderful roads, and as for those "damn hippies" they were everywhere!!!! :Pokey:

He he - Great right up J2

It was a great trip and great company as well. NExt will be a spring time ride when the grit is gone and the tourists haven't arrived.
