I got a small puncture in my new rear tyre this afternoon leaving Kai iwi lakes. It was pissing down with rain and I had to get back to Kerikeri so I used one of those cans of spray in tyre goo to fix it up and get me home which worked pretty well (the tyre hasn't lost any pressure 200km and several hours later).

What I want to know is if you can put a permanent plug in the tyre after using the goo to fix a flat... Hope I can since the tyre's only a few weeks old!

Tubed or tubeless? Throw your tube away....or clean out you tubeless carcase. Also inspect for internal damage - that's why string repairs are illeagal.

Sorry, throw it away. We hate that crap at work, it makes a normal (safe) repair impossible.

That "crap" cleaned out completely within about 1 minute. There was a bit of shell or bone or something in there that was a bit of a pain to get out but it's been patched and hopefully should be fine now.
