As Thursday was such a perfect day for riding, RnB and myself decided to take the long way home. Around Oriental Parade, out to Mirimar and around the coast to Island Bay. Heading back into the city, we came up to the lights that join the new section of motorway (top end of Willis).
Three lanes of traffic sitting at the lights. Two turning left onto the new section of motorway, one going straight ahead down Willis St.
I'm sitting in the middle lane waiting to turn left for the motorway, behind 2 cages.
Lights change and the cages pull away. I was a little slow from the lights as I wasn't quite sure what the cage on the left was doing. This created a small gap between me and the cage in front going onto the motorway.
I move off and open up. I get 3/4 of the way through the junction when this bitch decided to ignore the lights and all of the other pedestrians standing at the kerb, and walk straight across the entrance to the motorway without looking.:gob:
I still don't know how the hell I missed her.

I still had a bit of a lean on as I slammed on the brakes. Back end came up and then decided it wanted to take the lead rather than the front end. I ended up sitting sideways across the entrance to the motorway. Thankfully, RnB had left a gap or he would have been in a similar state or worse still, slammed straight into me.
A few carefully chosen words were exchanged between myself and the said bitch before I got myself sorted out and away again. :nono: :angry2:

Shit , it was so close and how the hell I didn't high side!

She was one very lucky bitch.

Funny, they never seem to be even slightly grateful that you've saved them a lot of pain and perhaps death despite their own stupidity. The very least she should've done was offer to give you head. Where are the standards going these days...

Glad you're alright though, and that your bike's in one piece too.

Is it not intresting how we react to these happenings, we always take reflex actions to save the pedestrian, the little fury animal etc just like we instinctivly trying to "preserve the race"
Strictly "theoreticaly speaking" don't you think it would be better for us bikriders to just brace ourselfs, keep the bike nice and straight and :"hit the bitch"

The result would be that you would not end up with a broken leg or "muffler burns" and the other party would still have to pay your dammages and would learn a valuable lesson: Look right befor you cross the road.

Not only did she not look right, but she walked passed about 7-8 others who were standing waiting to cross. This is now the main enterance to the motorway FFS

She was lucky for sure and you did well BUT come on guys - no need to give her a hard time - she might have had things on her mind like........."Is the colour of my lipstick matching my outfit?". That's an important thing to think about whilst walking to work and sometimes......ya just don't think about others!

Everybody needs to be real carefull at those new lights.

Every time I've been there I've seen a car do something dumb.

Like middle lane go right (in front of the car in the right lane).

Or right lane go straight (in front of the middle lane).

Well saved Hawkeye. Just guessing but was she texting..or playing with her mp3? These two devices are going to be the death of the female of the race. Woman seem totally fixated with cell phones. It must be the vibration modes.

I'll endorse this, for brainless bitches of both genders, bonus points if you do it before they breed!

See natural selection tries to claim the more stupid of the human race and almost takes out one of us in the process. Good save Hawk, glad it wasn't a binning it story.

Why oh why do these darwin award winners try an take others with them? Oh yeah and Col is completely correct, hippy chicks are lil freak machines!
