My last one was about three weeks if I recall. That was over two years ago.
I seem to recall reading somewhere that the processing is going to be speeded up with new digital not far in the distant future.
**
Update of Infringement Offence Notice (ION) and Police Infringement Bureau (PIB) systems
Funding was approved to update infringement offence notices in accordance with changes to
regulations, to concurrently update the Police Infringement Bureau information system (PIPS/
PIBIS) and to interface with the Police Enterprise Computing Network (ECN) to ensure critical
data is captured and made accessible to Police and its partner agencies.
Wider access to better quality information will significantly enhance the impact of enforcement
efforts and police capacity to achieve their strategic objectives. Consistent with broader
governmental goals and the Road Safety to 2010 theme of `making the best use of resources',
the central aim of this initiative is to reduce road deaths and trauma through improving police
capacity to generate information that enables resources to be more effiiently targeted to
risk areas, identified through analysis, monitoring and review. The ability of Police to identify
problem areas and determine what measures are most effective in mitigating harm, will
significantly increase if IONs are enhanced and the information collected from them is made
electronically available to police groups and partner agencies.

Just move house, easy. Or always register the vehicle in your partners name and let them get the ticket :dodge:

Preparing myself to pay the $140. I dont see any reason as to why I wont get it unless the camera was off or something?!
Was in the 'fast' lane on the north western motorway (3 lanes) & there were not many cars/trucks around or beside me when I did see the white van with the camera thing pointed out the back lol

I was also disappointed at the thread - here I was thinking you had REALLY been flashed at!
You could be lucky - do they send out tickets to EVERY driver over the speed limit or is it the top whatever percentage that day? I have been flashed a couple of times and never got a ticket, so I wonder if it goes off every time someone exceeds the limit even if it's only by a few kms?

You have Porirua, then Paremata, then Plimmerton, then Pukerua Bay - all the P places! Wellington must be the P capital of NZ!

Porirua and Paremata are only minutes apart - unless it's peak hour traffic when it could take you about half an hour! Watch out along that stretch of motorway though, the police college is just across the road and they often use it to demonstrate ticketing procedures to the newbies!

Rodney District obviously doesn't have a P in it, but it sure seems to have a lot of them dang p-labs being discovered. The poor detectives are pretty busy up this way catching them country druggies on top of all the other crap they have to deal with.... anyway back to camera vans..... I hear riding/driving past schools has almost become a hanging offence!

The operator can hit a button on the computer to make the camera take a photo of the next vehicle. Maybe there was suspicious activity? Sure it wasnt you that was flashing? ;)
