Anything considered, but a ginny would have to be pretty damn cheap ...

This is the sort of thing I'm probably looking for:

.. but I'd much prefer something in or near Wellington

I'd be round to look at that if it was local.

My VT250F has a dead big end, and I need something to last me till I get my full in 3 - 6 months. I'd prefer something that's worth taking to a track day, and I'd prefer something I can sell for not too much less.

I'm not really interested in something with no reg/wof.

Anything sitting round gathering dust?

Any opinions on particular makes and models? I've seen a 1989 Kawasaki 'EX250F3' which I gather is a variation on a GPX - is that any good? Any better than my VT (I've seen some of those too, but I'm reluctant ...)?

Thanks,

Richard

Sure you want to buy a bike that you're only going to have for a short time? I mean you could save your dollars, hire abike for your test and spend the extra on a big bike.

3 months without riding doesn't sound appealing - especially commuting ... unless you're suggesting I just risk riding a bigger bike and hope I don't get caught.

I suppose I could just keep 'test riding' various bikes ... :) Doesn't help with the commute though.
