Hey I saw you guys, heading back up towards Petone on the shore highway. I was the guy heading into town wearing a light tan jacket. Buckbuck waved to me, hooray!
It was a Kiwibiker evening it seems, as I had just gone to Darkman's place to buy some cordura pants off him.
I will see some of you tomorrow on TCWNR, as I have my first Wednesday night off for what seems like a million years.

aye that we did, i somehow was left feeling unsatisfied
which presents the problem: i go back to my old ways and go hooning around everywhere again till i bin it stupidly again OR tootle like a nana
im trying the nana approach at the moment (cars are passing me on the motorway :D) but it doesnt last long till i do something...

No it doesn't, does it.
We'll have to have a chat about the whole, "It's easy to go fast in a straight line" thing. :shifty:
It was really good to meet some new people tonight, and see other people going for a ride for the sheer joy of it.
The mighty Hyosung GT650R loaner was huge fun too. More to come on that.
For those of you of a sporting bent looking for a 250: Seriously consider a Hyosung GT250R. As I said above it's easy to go fast in a straight line. The GT250R is that rare beast: More Chassis than Engine. I LOVE bikes that handle well and thanks to Bull I can make a sound case for the GT250.

We had a roll up of 5 bikes 4 x 250 BuckBuck Bull Wasp Bouncer, and Jim2 on a loan 650 while his bike is in for service.
A good ride around the harbour and out around the bays.
Thanks Jim2 for taking the lead and for the excellent run once we got to Happy Valley Road, you took us through some of the suburbs down that end of the city I haven't been through for hmmmm years. Good circuit ride it was and the stop at McDonalds was timely I was hanging for a coffee.
I personally am pleased with my riding this evening and it was good to have a chat over a bite to eat. It was good to get feedback from each of the riders on their distance travelled and time in the saddle.
I have a few things on the go over the next few weeks hence I haven't posted any more Harbour and Bay rides until February. Tentatively I am thinking around 6th and 13th of February however. Watch the site Calendar.
Meanwhile I have booked in for the Advanced Refresher all day course on 3 Feb with Andrew at Roadsafe, and also the Defence Driving Course with Sarah at Triple A on 20 Feb at Upper Hutt.
Thanks again and look forward to catching up next month.
Heads Up and Enjoy
