I was going onto the NW m-way from the city this morning, I saw a bike vs small truck crash. This was right to the NW on-ramp, where that sculpture thing is, with like 3 cop cars all around the area.
Hope the rider is ok :(
Anyone know what happened, or details etc?

Unfortunately not, my workmates saw the aftermath, heard the ambulance going away from the site at a good rate of knots.
Need a Kiwibiker headcount here.

well as far as bike crashes go vs a car, I think a few broken bones is pretty fine compared to alot of other crashes lol.
Cheers speedie :)

I guess it's all relative but my "few broken bones" caused by concrete truck crossing the road into me have left me with a lifetime disability.
I "only" have a broken tib & fib. Well they were crushed really and I now have no circulation and a shortened leg as well as plastic surgery, skin grafts, ulcers, seizing of the ankle and a lower leg that is so fat I have to buy boots 2-3 sizes too big. I can't wear shoes and motorcycling is the only thing I can do with anything (2 sizes too big) on my foot.
It was a minor crash but a lifetime of grief and I will in all likleyhood loose my leg below the knee before I snuff it. There's no such thing as a few broken bones

Grub,
I feel your pain.
Yep, a truck crushed my lower leg too. I guess I wasn't as bad off as you though. Almost back to my old self (apart from being 10 years older!).
It is relative.
I think speedie was saying they will heal up fine too.
Hope the biker gets well soon.

It didnt hurt me. Hes fine compared to the alternative.
Much better than the alternative . we don`t need the alternative right now .No-one ever needs the alternative.

I seem to recall a blue truck as well with a large dent in the front. .. the whole area around spag junction is just nasty for people running the red ... hurry up and bring back the red light camera's in this area I say ... it might help prevent this sort of thing in the future.

Car hit my dad's bike 20 odd years ago he spent 5 months in hospital with a damaged leg and he still walks with a limp but guess a limp done here is better than limping up there

Good to hear they are surviving. Thanks speedie - handy having people on the inside.
