Well I wasn't expecting a bloody earthquake to knock my bike off it's side-stand in Te Aroha.

Does the earth commission not automatically cover you???
EQC is New Zealand’s primary provider of natural disaster insurance to residential property owners.
It insures against damage caused by earthquake, natural landslip, volcanic eruption, hydrothermal activity, tsunami; in the case of residential land, a storm or flood; or fire caused by any of these. (http://www.eqc.govt.nz/)

Who say's nothing happens in Te Aroha? Mentioned it in passing when I was putting in my regular advert to the local rag. Didn't think they'd quote me amost word for word and put it on the front bloody page. I guess it's true when they say be careful about talking to the press. Ah well, at least she's mentioned the company name so it's free front page advertising.
