Just made myself a radar detector mount out of bits and pieces I had lying around. The top plate you mount the radar on is the blade off a cooking impliment. I just found the clamp lying around. Got it powdercoated for $10. It isn't adjustable but I worked out what position I wanted it in before I welded it. I sewed a couple of bits of velrco on to secure the detector. Now I just have to wait for my X50 to arrive.

What?

Man, that is brilliant. :first: When you go to rallies, :scooter: you can use your detector mount to get your brekky eggs out of the frying pan. :2thumbsup

To late for me. I have just fitted a detector with the Techmount system at $199. I would have liked the Ram mount but couldn't find an NZ distributor. The Ram has a big advantage in the easy removal of the arm and mounting plate from the bike. With the Techmount I have to leave the arm and mount as it is allen key fitted. The Ram has more range of adjustment.

BTW - have also fitted a mount for a Navman GPS.
