Has anyone used Power Race tyres on Taupo track?

If so, which compound?

How did they hold up?

I'm trying to get some more Bridgestone 002, but they are in short supply, apparently. They worked great on Taupo, with plenty of grip, and stuff all wear after two track days (helped that the bike was only putting out 85hp peak, and probably about 40 below 9000rpm due to some complications, but still, pretty impressive wear).

If I can't get 002's, I'll go for Power Race, and would like to know which compounds don't get shredded by the Taupo seal.

Thanks.

Shredded?
Taupo only shredded tyres when it was new, and cold.
Its fine now.

I think Shaun and Two Smoker are using these now.

But id run a soft front (as there is a bit of force on the front tyre, so you need the grip) and a Medium Rear.

Depends on your own riding style really. Are you going to use them on the road too?

Late last month I saw a Racetec rear that was being used at a decet but not blistering pace on a 600 shredded to useless in a day.

A couple of weeks earlier there was an SV doing the same to a Supercorsa.

Maybe they were just the ultra soft compound ones...?

Not gonna use them on the road, just for the racebike.

I probably will go for a softer front to save me from myself, cheers Sparky.

Most of the time, when a tyre shreds, Its because of suspension settup.

Soft front and Medium Rear would be a good mix for the blade.
They will still wear pretty fast, but generally ive found Taupo to be pretty good on tyres.
My blade loved the track!
I was running Pirelli's on that and my 600, and found those compounds fantastic.
But am actually giving and SC0 front and a SC1 rear a go. Will be interesting to feel the difference.

If they wear anything like the powers they'll be great
