Just an update to let some of you who may be interested know where I have been for the last six months or so..
My last time on here really was July while in hospital recovering from spinal surgery. We, meon3 and me, sold our cows and bought seven acres of bare land at Kaharoa, Rotorua. Due to my farm ATV crash at 80kph and smashing the vertabrae at t6 I was unable to milk the cows etc even though I could still walk. (a minor miracle in itself!)
Eventually a specialist advised a spinal fusion, my second! I awoke after the op expecting to have a couple of vertabrae fused only to find I had 5 fused together using 6 screws, 2 titanium rods and bone graft from my hip.
I had been ordered by my Dr to give up smoking prior to op and touch wood haven't had a smoke since July alltho I still chew a fair bit of chuddy. I am still not back to any full time work and it is still undecided whether the pain is going to be permanent.
We are currently building a Skyline garage house on the cheap as we could only really afford the land and not a flash house. Still have a generator running our power but that should only be for a couple more weeks.
Meon3 (my better half) still has the trike and junior has progressed from his RS250 to a TL1000R. I still have the z1000 which now has a full Devil 4into1 race system and dynoed Power Comm. This last week I pushed the buy now button on a TL1000R, ex Japan race bike which the guy is just getting vinned etc before I pic it up. I couldn't help myself! and it was cheap.
The only constant in our lives has been our bikes and if I could bottle the pain killing properties of bike riding I would be rich!
Even tho junior is working on a farm Tokoroa way we still ride as a family pretty often. Her highness who has to be obeyed has started riding the Z1000 instead of the trike so I have gone from worrying about the kids to her!
Well that's about it. There ya go.
