Just a heads up to any one heading to Taupo this weekend. My son was down Taupo last night...saw 8 patrols, working in tandem. Most around road works.

You have been warned!

This town has more cops than a Bahgdad street party at the moment. There are a number of additional HPs, a bike and several unmarked cars and the boys are being very active. I believe there are also 4 (...yep 4!) booze buses here so take care if you are in Taupo this w/e.
Other than that I hope you all have a great week end in sunny Taupo.:sunny:

Yep I got myself a speeding ticket today. Didn't see any HPs heading down from Auckland until the last 20kms out from Taupo, then saw 3 in a row. And this was the Friday too!

TV3 news last night stated an extra 75 ecilops in town.
Plus dedicated drink-drive units.

Ironic isn't it that the workmen at roadworks don't do bugger all and yet you can always find HP there to catch someone doing 41km/h in a 30 zone etc etc.... and often when there isn't any workmen there 'working'. :whocares:
