Well we SDU and I had an interesting night.

Luckily for a young guy our bugler alarm had a false detection last night.
As we had no longer got back in to bed and were just getting back to sleep.
And I heard that horrible sound of steel and plastic sliding on tar seal, with that muffled thump at the end.

I jumped up and said a bike has gone down.
I ran out side and could not see anything at first, but then seen what looked like a rubbish bag under a bush and something white next to it.
Walked over and a young guy was face down (and it sounded like he was snoring) with no helmet on and a scooter just down the road from him.
Who knows how many people would have driven past and not seen him.
As the street light near him was out and in his dark clothing and under a bush.
And none of the other neighbours had heard a thing and were blissfully unaware all that night, as we were the only ones out there to help this lad.

Well I try to talk to him but he was out for the count.
Went back told SDU to ring a Ambulance quick and a blanket.

Well the Ambo arrived they could not wake him but by now he was groaning a bit and had rolled on to his back.
Well some cousin's of his turn up in a car and took off the get the owner of the bike.
He felt real bad as it was his bike, not for the bike but for his cousin and loaning it to him.

Boy is he going to have a shiner and a half, apart from that we looked fine just a few scratchers as he was only in jeans and T shirt.
Well I'm hoping that he is OK apart from the bump to the head.

Real lucky he was to get away so lightly and the scooter was OK to be ridden away.
Now I do not no if he had been drinking or was on drugs.
But some of his cousin had been, they were not drunk and you could not smell or notice that they had been.

Now this is part that gets me shaking my head.

One of the guys that had not been drinking was going to ride the bike back to the house.
So the owner got the keys opened up the seat and took out a full face helmet.

Muppet.

Just had to vent.
Keep the rubber side down

LOL!!!!!!!!! Don't you just love it!!!!! "I ain't gonna crash it, Man!"

The person who can ever figure out how to put a brain into these young ones will deserve his fortune!!!!

(No offence to the KB youth that do have brains...)

They should be thanking their stars you were there to help. :niceone:
Not wearing a helmet when there's one under the seat? Don't understand some people.
