Howdy...

Well, had a great day a pukekohe today. Had the Bandit wound out around most of it, though that's not saying much, really got my lean over, shoulder down into it throttle pinned... a blast.

So.

I head home, drop in and say hi, head to my (pseudo) gf's (LONG story about that one) house which basically is my real home. Anyway, for reasons which take a long story to explain I headed up to my sister's to pass a bit of time, after which I intended on going back after.

Rides going fine, i've no speedo and racing around puke all day has thrown my 'feel' for normal speeds out, anyway, 2 minutes from my sisters house on an uphill straight I decide to overtake the SUV infront, pull out.. move up along side...

Oh bugger, this car wants to pull over into the gravel parking bay on the other side of the road, so starts moving across fairly rapidly. Now I can't cut around infront of him, so I hit the anchors... he hasn't seen me yet, I don't want to hit this new Ford Escape, so I keep moving across too. Brakes and gravel... I go down, side then stomach then roll. Bike went another way through a railing.

The guy was very helpful, wife was lovely too, another car slowed down to see if I was alright and promptly got roadraged by the car behind it... so they pulled over and picked the bike up, hung around abit and went.

Sister picked me up ( i was 2mins from her house )... bikes a bit of a mess.

Mum and her fiance picked it up for me, and a park ranger had left a card on my bike with a note to ring about the rail.

Damage I can see so far :

Instruments smashed.
Headlight smashed.
Handlebars bent.
Front fender snapped off.
Chain came off somehow.

That's just at a glance.

Why just a glance? My pseudo GF who aparently was more of GF then she's been letting on kicked me out and i'm a bit of a mess.

Great day.

Bummer dude not a good end to a good day

On the bright side ........

GF's are a pain in the arse and cost about the same to maintain as a hooker

GF's can unfortunantly end up as wives,

Wives = less toys.

and finally

bike may be a write off wich means you can get yourself something that it more comfortable on the track. ( don't let you know who convince you that electric mango is the way to go).

Fair enough comment...

...we all know Daisy Yellow is all the rage this season... and half the strokes for twice the torque - you can't beat it!

Ummmm, what?

So, you have/had one of those "friends with benefits" type arrangements - and you'd end up there four nights out of five, right? Now you've pranged the bike she's got all "fark me you could've got yourself killed" and has kicked you out for being a ... whatever?

Sounds to me that you're on to a winner. Apart from the pranged bike, obviously.

Oof, the high highs to the low lows, sounds like a LOTR epic in the making! I know one day you'll look back at all this and use it as grist to your conversations...but at the moment it's all looking poos and wees

Sounds like you had a great day at the track anyhows, you'll be getting your ride sorted and you're back in circulation for other chicky-babes!

And as one door closes, another one opens! (Just try not to let it whack you in the face!) :innocent:

Hang in there buddy!

I told you getting your girlfriends from K road was a bad move but did you listen?

You're instruments were farked anyway, Your headlight didn't actually work and if you speak to Mental Trousers he can get good prices on handlebars.

Sounds as though your bike is no different than before.

Were you fully insured?
