Its all *work* related of course........
Nah, no work pressure or deadlines at the moment means surfing or other methods of skiving off...

Compulsory, sent home by the surgeon with strict instructions to do nowt. Which is not bad for the first day, but by crickey after 5 or six weeks(too long I have forgotten because every day is the same, Ground Hog Day) it sure makes for boring living. If it was not for this site i would probabley be back in Hosp locked up this time in a padded cell(some would argue that I should be there anyways)

What you have done? I am in the same boat - in a knee high cast, elevated leg, do nothing blah blah blah.
Sent surgeon an email today to see if I can go to work early. He put 50 days on my ACC form - 10 weeks!!! Told him he was dreaming

Nice lady sugen type person *borrowed* some material from between C5C6, sort of mid neck. With that me thinks it is a good idea to follow sugeons advice. :doobey:

My job is re-actionary - if the Network's quiet & running well, then there's not much work for me to do, so we get to surf the net, or watch the telly, or whatever to pass the time until the phone rings or something happens.
When it's all on though, it is truly all on, and attention is focussed exactly where it's meant to be.
The boss understands this and if any of us abused our internet access to the detriment of a network fault, there'd be all hell to pay as well as removal of our external internet access to boot, so we don't abuse it.
Besides which, women are good at multi-tasking. :bleh:

You just struck on the best known headache cure in the world, when a female claims a headache she is faking it

Sort of what Mongoose said: The best headache cure is sex, so it's the worst excuse to use. :bleh:

Thankfully my better half has read that study, so I can grin everytime she mentions having a headache.

It kills time in between calls when I'm at work & I don't feel as guilty as I do when I'm at home & should actually be studying!

Did you read about the EDS people at ComBank in Aussie, using the network to download porn and burn it to disks, which they were then selling. That was taking things a little too far. Twas on The Register, among others

No, I hadn't read that.
But I know of at least one person in Telecom Hamilton who was fired due to surfing porn on work computers. Stupid, if you ask me. And damn lucky he didn't ruin it for the rest of us!
