Yup, a great fun ride. We all wound up in the same place, even if some of us did take the scenic route. Names withheld pending negotiation of bribe!
Got introduced to some great new roads, I really enjoyed West Coast Rd, from Araparera on 16 thru into Warkworth. I was so tempted to turn round and do that hill section again.
I took the Coatesville-Riverhead highway home, and just about got collected by some Moron on a bike overtaking cars on the outside of a semiblind corner.:nono:
Blue half fairings, twin headlight, Good onya mate! you are a dickhead!
The rest of the run home was fun. Played with some kids riding mini bikes round the roundabout in Riverhead, did a couple of quick "laps" :innocent: with them till a car turned up.

Where did you go? I missed the thread in time but came back from Whangarei via Otaika Valley rd (saw a group of about 5 bikes go thru while visiting an old friend), down 1 (mufti Hyundai had a cage Whew) then 16 till Kaukapakapa then thru Peak rd, Old north to Hellinsville then Ellerslie & waited an hour for No 1 son for a bed. He didn't return my Txt ( had his other phone on him) so I headed home @ 6pm for New Plymouth. Got home at 10pm after a good feed at Ngarawhahia & thru back roads to Otorohonda (lucky I was in 55km corners when I met cops - looked at speedo & bang on 100). Passed a spun out Falcon in the bank on the top of the Mahonui's but home dry.
SFA waves from other bikers - really noticable north of bombays except one cheerie wave from a bushy bearded Harley rider on 1 north of Wellsford
