Ouch, how'd you do that? Is it left or right foot?

left foot, front end tucked going into turn one.
Me and John worked it out that because 600's are doing roughly 240 on the straight and I had only just hit the brakes (just clicked down one gear)so was somewhere in the vacinity of 200kmph.
for the record, has anyone else here crashed there? the reason I ask is that there is a maintanance road around the back of turn one that is very dangerous to the sliding riders. it is raised up above grass level and in just scraped bitchemin which acts like the fist of satan on your bike as it slides over it. My bike is pretty gnaffed now, it was sliding over the grass fine untill it hit this road then it started doing acrobatics, as did I. I believe the damage caused would be much less it this road was removed but I want a guage of opinions, I know teretonga hero Andy Evans bike came to the same grizzley end in this cornerany one sle had the same thing??

Bro, that sucks, saw the cloud of dust as I went flying by from my lofty near the back position... I had a real good start too!! Wasn't too sure what had happened to you after that, and no one else seemed to know.
I suppose that kills any north island plans then. Hope she comes right for you. I can't comment on that bit of run off, I went off at then end of turn one, and the gravel was wicked deep, but nothing dangerous. The greasy crappy bit on the return road was my biggest worry there.

Thats terrible news!!!!!!
do you think it was that road thing that broke your foot? i.e were you just sliding along and hit it?
they desperately need to sort that out, it's dangerous for no reason
my ankle looks similar to your xray there, and it took me 4 months to be able to ride normally again.
the track was greasy, and especially the entry to that corner, as apparently the drifters were there the week before. Not ideal right before nationals
sorry to hear about that though, I knew the ambo went out, but didnt realise it was that bad!

I think the ankle went straight away cos when I was in slow mo heading across the grass I could feel it already before I hit the road. my shoei doesn't have a mark on it (insert huge relief icon!!)
Also I knew where you crashed zebra(i feel your pain!!), but my crash wasn't as deep into the corner, it was right at the start of the bend so i didnt even get to the gravel, very strange.
the bike is still straight, just missing a few bits and needing some engine covers etc. Its going straight back to road trim (rather than buying new race fairings) to sell it to get next years model as by the time i have healed it will be out!!!
and next year i will be better.
Also, lots of time to do things while broken, ie I have now read the haynes book "motogp technology" it is awsome, and if anyone has seen the "faster" motogp doco i would reccomend the other one as well "THE DOCTOR, THE TORNADO AND THE KENTUCKY KID" they are great.

If you got the time and inclination to read books etc, I can reccommend MotoGP book performance riding techniques by Andy Ibbott.
Has taught me much thus far, and has more yet, as I figure things out bit by bit.
If it's any good I might be able to keep up with you next time ;)

any idea where I can source DTK? The first I knew it was you that had jumped off was when we came roundon the restart's warm-up lap. Saw the Red paint marks and said "yep, that was Jeremy". Actually was cursing the bugger that stopped the race, was all going well in the first laps!! Still, the resatard worked for me too  Havn't been for a slide there but have gone dirt tracking and that escape road is incredibly scary. sends upright bikes into seeming orbit too! Not fun, when you gave up MX 'cause of the jumps.....How you doing? You out and abut or stuck inside??
