I think the term 'driver' is synonymous with 'rider' in legislation.

Police cars and helicopter chase speeding motorcyclist

A police helicopter helped track a speeding motorcycle during a pursuit on Auckland's North Shore this afternoon.

Inspector Kerry Watson of the police northern communications centre said North Shore police had tried several times to stop the motorcyclist who was travelling at excessive speeds.

The bike was seen speeding on the northern motorway then was lost when it entered the suburb of Torbay.

It was seen again fifteen minutes later speeding through Mairangi Bay.

Patrols pulled out of the pursuit and the bike was tracked by the police helicopter, Mr Watson said.

The bike was followed to a nearby school and the driver was apprehended without incident.

The bike was seized under boy racer legislation and the driver will face a number of charges in North Shore District Court.

I wish it was me that answered the door. I was asleep because had just come off a night shift. Bike wasnt even here it was at a mates up north.
Missus Speedie answered the door and was not impressed with him.
She came and woke me up and said that weirdo cop was just here asking where you were.. the one with the giger beard.
I want to know how long it is going to be untill these pricks stop hassling me for somethin that happened nearly three years ago, that I have paid for and been a good boy since then??
I went to the Orewa police station today to find the Ginga but he was out.

Have you thought of contacting the area Commander and demanding the harassment stop?

sitting at home in the garage with a few beers trying to get my bike to run properly....

Nope wasnt me, i work afternoons anyway. Sounds like the guy deserved it if he had evaded the police and not slowed down to make himself inconspicuous.... or just lay low for a little more than 15 minutes.

That was my first thought - seems like he got away once, should have left it at that.
