Probably cruise at 100 and max out about 120 in a tail wind.

As a comparo my XR250L would cruise easily at 120 and max out at 130-140. Trail bikes aren't made for their top end rush. You are sitting up tall on them too so they hate head winds and the NXR on a slight uphill and into a head wind would not have much go. You were talking about m-way commute and if the traffic is fast that's what I'm talking about. If its clogged traffic and you are lane splitting all the way no worries as the top speed wouldn't matter much.

Yea, I understand that they won't have huge top ends, Just thought I might want something abit more gruntier, kinda step up from my fxr

OK but the NXR125 is a step down from a 150 with similar 4 stroke engines.

Hi, I used a NXR 125 for commuting 46km to & from work daily on rural roads for about 6 months. I'm 5'10" and 80kg. It did 95kmh in normal conditions and a little over 100kmh with a tail wind. With a significant head wind I was down a gear and stuck at 80kmh. I wouldn't want to use it on a motorway. It just could not keep up with the traffic flow. My new toy has a bit more go in it :) Cheers, Tim.
