View Full Version : A thoroughly good bastard!

As you are prolly aware, I had a wee bin just before Christmas. There we were stuck in the middle of nowhere, with a bike that was not rideable, and me in no condition to ride it anyway.
The only thing to do was ring a fellow KBer for some roadside assistance. Nadroj hopped in his trusty ute, drove 2 hours up the road, loaded my bike onto his trailer and me into the ute, and drove us both back to my parents house in New Plymouth where he unloaded the bike into Dad's garage. Turned up the next morning, just to see how I was.
A couple of weeks later and Dad is getting a bit towy about the lack of room in his garage, ring Nadroj again with another plea for help. Without a second thought, he goes and picks up the bike to store at his place until we can go back over and get it - well, thats what we thought anyway. How wrong we were!
He fixed her for me, everything except the indicator! Mstrs received a PM from him - Problem Eliminated!!
So we head off to New Plymouth yesterday, to go and see our new grandson and pick up my trusty EL.
Yep, he'd even filled the tank, for us!!
There are some really good people in this world and then there is the occasional thoroughly good bastard - Nadroj is one of those!
Big ups to you mate, and thank you so much!
Enjoy that wee dram! You deserve it!

He didn't 'fix' it....but he did put a coloured bulb in and got it working!! Biggest ups for stripping the clutch etc to fix the jammed gear selector.

Only with intervention. A plaster or two plus time doesn't seem to cut it for machines:scratch:

It is my understanding that he doesn't actually drink ale - hence "the wee dram"
Merv-alas, that is true! I have started physio now tho, and am off to see the specialist tomorrow - I'm really hoping those blardy casts come off!!!

Well done nadroj.........this is one of the reasons I love being a member of KB......I know that if we get in the shit someplace, a quick call/txt will result in help, whether we need a little or a lot...
