Oh no I've gone to the dark side. After a lifetime of Hondas ( I even drive one for a company car and the ride-on mower has a Honda motor ) I've gone and bought a Kawasaki ER6F, a nice new blue one - my first new bike since my CB125 in 1970 so the old GB will be on the block. Sorry old girl "que sera sera" sp?:scooter:

Hopefully I have learnt my lesson and I'm not dumb enough to do that again. Pictures will have to wait till I can borrow a camera ( stepdaughter dropped my one ) and i've only ridden it home so far, as my leathers are locked in the garage and Sarah has got the only bloody key but it sure looks purty:love:

Saturday morning I went for a ride to Taihape via Stormy Point for breakfast, as one does. It's amazing how much difference there is between a 20 year old single cylinder, naked bike and a brand new twin cylinder bike with a fairing. Couldn't get over how balanced it felt even though the riding position is very different. Very hard to behave myself as i am trying to be kind to it whilst running it in ( I know there are a hundred different theories on how best to run in a bike , I'm just trying to take it easy and not rev the shirt out of it ) Did 260 km and the fuel light came on just as I was going up my drive so that's not too bad. Even washed the bike when I got home. So far I am absolutely loving the bike, had good service from AFC ( no I'm not going to comment on the other thread about their service ) and the poached eggs on toast and a long black I had at the Soul Food Cafe was delicious:scooter:
