Well I can't do jak shit for a while yet cause my bones haven't heald not one bit.. Well.. not until real racing begins, then I'll suck it up and go for it.

For now, all I can do is muk around on the PS2. I'm playing Tourist Trophie and I reckon it is by far one of the most realistic bike simulators around. Some things are better in Super bikes TT but over all Toursit Trophie is better IMHO.

I ain't no hot shot but the computer riders in the game can't ride for shit! So I thought maybe compairing our riding with each other might be more fun?

Post up your times for 600cc Sports Production (F2) class for:

1) Tsukuba Circuit
2) Autumn Ring (Full)
3) Deep Forest
4) Mid-Field
5) Grand Valley (Full)

Post up your times for 1000cc Superbikes (F1) class for:

1) Laguna Seca
2) Infineon Raceway
3) Motegi (Full)
4) Suzuka (Full)
5) Valencia

I know people can lie but how sad would you have to be to actually lie about your performance in a video game in an internet web site? But if there are any major disputes, you can always take a digi photo of your TV screen with the results (but then the really sad fuks could still photo shop it... Oh well, let's not worry about that).

So at the end of all this, if someone has a big screen TV and a bit of floor space, maybe we could have a tournament, head to head in person to decided who's the best of the best. Also have a few beers and a few laughs which is of course mandetory.

Who's game?

Count me in. Can you get tourist trophie on xbox??

Toast

Man I've gotta get me a PS2, real keen on that game. Too broke to buy one from trying to race a real bike though.

Still got my mate's XBOX (I think he's forgotten about it) which I play MotoGP3 on, but it's not that realistic. Can't wait to try out Tourist Trophy.

Meh... Love watching the real thing on TV. I have Moto GP 3 and 4. It's OK. I'm just not happy with the realism in it and plus I suck in it so no.

Thanks for the info on the USB flash drive dude! That sounds much better.

Don't have either of those games, but have been giving the IOM-TT a bit of a work-out on the PS2, anyone interested in sharing lap-times round the Mountain circuit in various classes?

My quickest lap has been a 16:56 on the Jason Griffiths' R1. Hasn't got the acceleration of the TAS GSXR but it seems to handle a little better in the game than the other machines in general, and has a better top speed than the CBR (which seems to handle best)

The lightweight machines are the most fun tho, like the way you can pin the throttle almost the whole way round the circuit, they get a bit yawny over the top of the mountain along all those straights. I seem to survive certain death more reliably on the 600's more than anything else tho

To be honest I've only ever completed one lap with out crashing and that was on the R6. I will give it a go tonight and let you know. scroter is real good at this one I think.

The 1000s are too stress full in it. I find the 600 much more fun as well.

Fuk your fast eh! I was riding quite happily at 1.15s thinking I was fast. I did a few laps and had to step up heaps and only managed to better that by 0.007 seconds. It's my fav track too! :shit:

1.13.880 in Midfield on 05' R6 RM

You don't touch walls or go on grass at all right?

I need more practice!!

After many obsessive hours, I managed a 15:49 on the SP2 VTR (R1 is just as quick). This is a great game of you can get the racing line right.

Any other times out there???

I have motogp 4.

the 125 and 250 classes are nice and fun, GP class is a bitch with the realism on lol, back wheel slides all the time. :D

And if anyone is looking to buy Tourist trophy, I would go get it now as it has gone platinum, I picked it up today for $35 instead of $100.

Bitch! Just pulled 12.632 on the R6. I had forgotten to put the soft tires on before! lol

I use Failure mode BTW. It means that if you touch the grass even just a bit, you'll get spat off and or get a penalty.

I just use the black dual shock controller that comes with the PS2.

Next post I do, I promise to post up times for the rest of the tracks as well.

hehe... I meant what dificulty mode basically... in options theres beginner/semi pro/pro mode... pro modes a bit more engaging with the independant front/rear and no traction control

I just bang it on arcade and time attack the PS2 does the rest, standard controll setup and all that, but after about ten laps on one track my mind wanders and i start watching the telly. looks like my times just arn't up to scratch will try harder to better.:Punk:

try it in TT mode... customising the rider position and bit a suspension tuning up and it'll cut 1-2 seconds off a lap easy

tourist trophy mode... go into your garagey thing, and there will be a little icon of a bike and rider titled Rider Form... knock yourself out... you can make your rider look like a complete nonce if you want to

edit: forgot to add... custom rider forms are only usable in Tourist Trophy mode, you can't use your custom forms in arcade mode... and funnily enough... for some reason the game doesn't let you use them in the license tests either...

I was feeling stink because I couldnt get below 1 min until Rookie told me all you mofos have been using quicktune. (20% MORE POWER, 10% LESS WEIGHT)

BE honest, who has used it?

i didnt even know there was a quick tune?
i got 59.625 cbr600rr RM
and 59.244 on gsxr600 RM

i couldnt get below 1.00 on the r6

*got a 1.02.989 on nsr250 se RM
i played for freakking hours and come to the conclusion that the gsxr
was more effective than the cbr600rr, mainly better braking

with quick tune i think i could easily get 58,

p.s how do u do quick tune?

JeremyW
14th February 2007, 05:45
Go into arcade mode and the third little box along (red tool box) in the race menu is quick-tune.

I reakon the 600's on quicktune have too much power for tsukuba, they just wheelspin everywhere. I dropped it back to standard and got a 59:334 which was 00:003 quicker than with it.
