I have a 94 ZXR750. Shes is a cool bike but she has done just over 60,000 KM. I still enjoy her and she gos pretty hard for an older 750. I dont want to flick her but I dont have money coming out of my passage. I was wondering what winter maintenance would be more bang for buck. I know she would proberly be keen for a rebuild but thats $1500 up.....Insnt it? Bit pricey, maybe a Cam chain an a tune? I have done all oil changes, plugs and fuel lines but thats where my skills kinda stop.
Any advice from someone who knows what they are talking about would be great.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. 60,000 K isn't THAT much if you keep good oil in and don't cane the snot out of it from dead cold.
A valve grind might be nice but top end gasket sets can be expensive. Ditto for the cam chain - is it noisy?
Spend time and money on the cycle parts - new brake hoses, make sure the sliding parts of the calipers are good, new pads, chain and sprockets if need be. Better tyres for sure. Change the fork oil, the springs might be getting a bit sacked out so they could be changed, get the rear shock rebuilt if that is possible. Lots you can do without getting into the engine.

sssssssseeeeeesssssshhhhhh sounds pretty bad to me I'd dump it on Trademe and make Finn and offer he can't refuse for the Repsol. They go forever and never have these problems. Otherwise you could just buy Scumdogs sporty and put him out of his missery

she has a little bit of a rattle on cold start up. Once she warms up a bit she purrs like a puss

Sounds fine to me.....call back when you hit 130,000 km.
Carry on the normal maintenance and it will just keep going (as the others have said).
If you have spare money I will forward my bank account....seriously!

So far you haven't said what if anything is a concern to you, is it doing anything abnormal? running rough? bottoming out shocks/forks?
If none of the above or similar problems are apparent....
polish it and stop worrying. lol

The camchain thing sounds normal for a Kawasaki of this era
As far as routine stuff goes, change brake lines, brake fluid, engine coolant
regrease bearings, where possible, lube cables pivot points on levers foot pegs, etc, service front & rear suspension & you will notice a difference
Most of that you can do yourself, except the suspension, but you could still remove it & send it away
Have fun!!
