Smack them a few times with a big screwdriver blade or some such,something that will rap them,but not dent.This will loosen all the charcoal....then shack it out.

if they are off your mc28, there is as retrictor plate just inside the header, might be a good time to take to it with a dremel

Another good trick is to put the oxy torch (from oxy acetyline) into the head end, once the chamber is really hot, then you get a neat fire that spreads from one end right thru. Makes clouds of smoke.

lol this did that, but smoked it until nothing came out, there ah,... clean!
