Aren't you just a tad bit too jolly about your bin? Anyway, I guess it's good if you can laugh about it at the end of it just as long as you know why and how you crashed.

Well, I've come of before :) but I've never had this sort of damage ;)
Yeah, put the front brake abit hard in the wet, good news is my knees only took a few cuts.
Well guess you can only laugh at those things, looking back in hindsight :D

Forks twisted? That's not going to be cheap. Better get onto calling the wreckers to see what's available.

Sorry to hear about your bin; you seem curiously unworried by the damage, pain etc... are you sure you're not smoking anything right now?

Maybe it's because I'm British, we always joke about everything I guess, yeah, the no. 1 thing that bothers me is the forks, ah well, just have to do some more work and get some more bling, times like this I wish I had full insurance :shifty:

That's no good. Still sometimes it is good to have an accident now and then to remind us that shit does happen - so long as the accidents a minor ones that is.

No mistake is a bad one unless you repeat it.

hmmmmmm maybe I should get my knees checked out by a doctor, I don't feel any pain really, only a few cuts, but could be below the skin damage.

Sorry to hear about the bin mate. As to the forks though if they are BENT you are in trouble, but if they are TWISTED then all that needs doing is loosen up the triple clap and the should spring back into position (or close to it) so you can adjust them from there manually. Got it done by a bike mechanic when i had my off. Hope you get it all sorted soon.

Sorry to hear about your bin, Indy, but glad you're not letting it spoil your day...
FWIW I was very nearly in the same situation this morning. Braked a bit too hard at traffic lights and the resultant slide must have looked interesting to the drivers watching. Fortunately managed to stay upright though. The roads were deceptively greasy this morning as later doing the rh turn from Wellesley St into Mayoral Dr fairly cautiously I could feel the beginnings of another slide...

Argh. You gotta hate those lose the front in the rain when braking episodes.

At least you've got a relatively common bike. I had a bitch of a job trying to get replacement forks for a 1987 superbike they only made 2,000 of... :angry2:

THERE IS A PAIR ON TRADEME NOW FOR $150 BUYNOW:

Glad to hear your ok indy.

If you have any pain or tightness get some "Naturo Pharm Arnica Extra Strength Gel". The shit is the miracle stuff I tell ya.

Better half gave me some last night. Put it on my leg before bed, and range of movement this morning is 30-45º compared with only about 10º last night before using it. Brilliant stuff.
