I reckon we could "levy" each member of KB $20 and that should cover it!

lol.....I dunno mate....'a' nut might be handy if you wanna try and ride that thing!
Yeah....with the demise of the mighty V4 two strokes....we're almost seeing electronics take over....I for one loved the nasty smokey things....and anyone that's been to a GP race when they were alive and kicking will tell you it was a sight and sound to BEHOLD!
I went to my first GP at Eastern Creek when Kosinski (Spelling?) won....fuck man.....I nearly wet myself when I heard them all going sick together for the first time! Well ok.....I'm a bed wetter......but they sounded good anyway!

Don't really care what I would have to loose to get a go on a V4 (provided riding essential parts still remained...) That would have to be one of my life ambitions...they were THE motorcycle...I mita only been ten but I can still visualise Mick Doohan decimating everyone else for a year...the way he could ride those things was awesome. What a dude!!

Yeah I was working on just over 6000 members x $20. Of course it would never happen like that, but the general idea I think is a good one. Just a syndicate and buy a share of your shared dream.
Buy & sell your share/s.
Would be nice to see a piece of kit like that around these parts

Not sure if it was 1980 or 82 but they had a Full Works 500cc GP bike at Wanganui in the Pits on show think it may have even done a Lap or 2 long time ago for my Failing memory but the Bike was to die for , even had a spare motor in a stand on show as well . Thoughs where the days

I'm with you on the Doohan thing....he was THE man!
Rossi is without doubt THE man now.....BUT, as good as he is, he's had it good with injuries etc (apart from a fractured wrist and foot last year).
While I don't like to see any of them injured.....Doohan rode and WON his five titles as a fucking cripple. They're all using his invention now....a thumb rear brake.....he only asked his crew to sort it as his right leg was so mashed after his Assen biff that his ankle couldn't move!
He refused to use any painkillers stronger than panadol.....and had a desire to win that I doubt Rossi could match. If only Doohan and Rossi were about at the same time....both so strong willed and relentless....it would've been fireworks!

Richard Scott brought back his privateer Honda RS500 and raced at Wanganui, he broke the lap record. He must have big balls that boy......
