Yeah, what Drum said. Would you care to put that into actual sentences with full stops and commas or is that asking to much? I lost you about half way through.

oh and that really sucks, I hope that number one bike is ok... Not cool at all, did the lady stop? Apoligize etc?

I was out riding around Mountain with mats (14bikes) and as we came around the corner, there was a car parked on the shoulder of the road.

We slowed down and began to pass it when out of the blue SHE turns out on the road and starts doing a U-Turn right in front of the first bike. He brakes hard and moves to the right hand side of highway to miss her but she keeps on going. He T Bones her then flies through the air and down into a ditch.
As I get off my bike to go help I see she has not stopped and is going around and back out on the road FAST making other bikes swerve to miss her?

She then reverses back to where she was taking out another bike finally stopping. The second bike was all right and the rider has cut on his arm. The first bike well she is bad, real bad. After three hours the rider was finally flown out to Hamilton but all is OK he will be home this week a very lucky man.

Well it goes to show that when on two wheels, never trust them on four.

Scary - :shit: Amazing how many people 'look' but don't actually see anything. Had my 'scare of the month' moment this morning.

Riding the back urban roads on the way to work, working especially hard on keeping to the posted speed limit. Gave my bike a good look over this morning to ensure headlights, indicators working for upcoming warrant, looks good apart from the need of a wheel rim clean.

Coming down a gradual decline, in a lower gear to make some noise and help the decent where in my scans noticed a blue/silver Suburban (SUV) approach an upcoming (10m) joining intersection. Notice the slow and stop, and given that I had right of way being the main road vehicle, kept my scanning as a car had parked funny approaching my left (15m).

Few seconds later, I have a near bugger moment where the driver pulls out quickly and I near swiped his B column, given the closing road, I (fairly quickly) decided to evade to my left escape path and accelerate out, then realign to miss the rapidly approaching parked car. So after ducking around his side mirror, and doing a moving chicane move got clear, and gave a freindly wave. :nono:

I think if I had tried to stop, I would have been tapped into the stationary car by the Suburban, or under it.

The driver seems to realise I was there only after my wave, and seemed to quickly find another street to disappear down. I hope any past experience with bikers puts the fear in him, and he looks more properly now.

I am glad what little training I have had worked, and that I was remarkably calm after the incident.

Keep the rubber side down and the lights glowing people. Do what we can to be seen.

Whew!
Originally I thought you were talking about the sentence structure, the grammar, the punctuation.... now that WAS carnage!!!

But the driver of the car needs both eyes poked out - they were not any use to her anyway.

Well lets hope the driver has insurance......
and the police in that area charge her with lots of offences.....

That is a real shocker, I bet she got out of the car and said "but I didnt see you..........."

If so, then we have it another blind driver behind the wheel of a vehicle.

Hope all the riders that got hit are going to be ok and will be back riding again soon. Bikes can be repaired or replaced.......

PS: Someone have the smelling salts, at the ready for when Mr Hitcher comes along and reads the first post...... Mr Hitcher may never be the same again after reading that. Even a word in the title is mis-spelt.

Mmmm! Or is that supposed to be "miss-spelled", or maybe "miss-spelt", or mis-spelled"...?:innocent:

I hope to actually find out what happened when someone can translate and clarify the post. Despite the above efforts, I'm still a little confused!

Dearest Motorcyclist Commoner:

Dame Car Driver and Sir Raleigh Chopper -

Request the company of all Motor Bikes on the roads of New Zealand this summer season, where they will be throwing caution to the wind with random acts of stupidity...

Bring extra jockeys and keep your insurance up to date!

Toodles

Still shaken as this only happened yesterday :whocares: .
yep same thing my teacher said at school :innocent: .

But all should be able to pick the eye's and teeth out and understand what happened.

Mate on second bike, rang to day to say he finally got home after POLICE had released his bike.
He said the Police were thinking bike #1 was going to fast, bull s..t
I was number two and I looked at my speed at the time (don't know why?)
and it was only 80k.
I had pulled up on the spot where car and bike meet, I was getting my helmet off when I herd and saw car coming around for a second time (came in behind me," LUCKY") then I was off down the ditch to help mate,

Lady(19 to 21?) was on her own and really cut up, so lady riding with us stayed with her(protection) till her friends turned up and the Police.

Hope this is better! :whocares:

had an incident 20 yrs ago on my ts 185,car failed to stop as, i came over a rail crossing and had right of way a guy in his car thought he could beat me before i reached him as he was on a stop sign,he peeled way so i went behind him,had steel cap boots on as well put a nice dent in his car,i stopped and the prick drove over, went off about dent,i told him fine follow me and went 200mt to cop shop,he it turned out had no licence at time,so for being a dick and wanting to have a go at me lost out big time, mind you his wife was driving a few days later with him in the car and decided to try and knock me off as i came to a stop sign, she hit me albeit a nudge, but that was ok then took off past me and cut me off,so out went the right leg for balance and to kick and another matching dent on other side, best part of all was the mufti cop behind me who saw both incidents and got her on failing to keep distance, dangerous driving so they had no licences for 9 mths, she tried to say i'd deliberately kicked the door but cop was having nothing of that, mind you later did say to me that by kicking out it kept my balance as he thought i was a goner.:shit:

Sorry to hear this, hope he gets better soon. Sounds like it spoiled a good ride, I gotta do the round the mountain next time I'm up there. I hope he gets to take it out of the car driver's hide. "I didn't see you" doesn't cut it when you've got 14 bikes.

I know it sounds silly, but why move to the right? I don't mean to nitpick but the instinctive 'moving to the center of the road' seems to cause a lot of accidents.
Why not move to the opening that is about to be created, which should give you more room to brake?
(please - I don't mean to start a flame war over this accident - this has been bugging me a while)
