Hi guys.

I'm after a set of bar end weights for my '06 636 to keep the vibrations down. nowhere seems to have any in stock except for Cycle Treads and they only have chrome jobbies. I could buy them off the web, but would rather keep my money local. any suggestions?

You could try a wrecker. My GS500 had some pretty heavy bar ends, and I'm pretty sure you'd be able to find something similar. A quick touch up with the aerosol and should look the part.

Do your bar ends screw into the bars themselves, or do they have an expanding rubber seal to hold them in place?

I don't know if this is relevant, but I had an '05 636 that had heaps of vibrations through the bars at about 10krpm. It turns out it was the clutch lever rattling up and down like crazy. Mt Edens fixed it somehow (they never told me how) and it hardly had any vibration after that.

I got heavy brass bar ends for my old KTM Supermoto. They were genuine KTM I think but not expensive and I waited just a day for Heytrack to send them to AMPS.
Since all bars are pretty much the same (except BMW), these should work fine

Another option is to leave the stock bar-ends on, and put some extra weight (like lead shot or sand) in the bars themselves. Very effective.

yep, on hogs they sometimes feed lead through the whole handlebar
