Just looking through the agenda for the Halbergs tonight, good to see Katherine Prumm is a finalist for the Emerging Talent award.

Wouldn't it be great to see a motorcyclist win something, rather than rugby, rowing or athletics.....

Hey all,

This is complete bullshit, how can someone who is outright WORLD CHAMPION in what is considered the tuffest sport in the world not even get nominated for the supreme womens award yet along fail to win the up and coming award.

No other women nominated is a world champion, Vili is no.2 in the world at throwing a rock, while Kath had to fight against proffessional sports women with mega dollar backing and even though she broke her wrist and raced that way at the final round she still won.

What is wrong with the media in this country? What she has achieved at her age is absolutly incrediable and this result is a complete shame on this country and its Jurnos.

If she lived in Europe or USA she would be a hero and household name.

Look at the injuries she has had to work through compared to any other sportswomen to get the no1 plate, this alone deserves an award.

My wife and I turned it off in disgust once that award was announced and decided that we are buying a lotto ticket for this weekend and if we win we are going to donate $25000 to Katherine for her defense this year and I think all motorcyclists who care should do the same, you never know!

If Josh Coppins wins the MX1 World title this year will they even nominate him or will the All Blacks simply wash the floor again.

The halbergs are bullshit run by a bunch of self motivated Jurnos.

A far cry from the '60's when Bruce,Deny and Chris were household names and everyone knew what they were doing.This country has alway hit far above it's weight in motorsports,but for the last 10 years or more the media has totaly ignored motorsport.

I agree. She is the best female motorcross rider IN THE WORLD. not second, not bitching about a winning bonus before riding then failing to qualify or complaining that the swiss stole all her mechanics but the fucking world champion. What more could she have done?
