hi there
funny it is, it al started of with a blown head gasket, now i throught that was the reson for the lack of power, but, my 30min, $70 job has just turned into a $340, need a job, and 1 week job, yep that inclueds x1 rebore x1 new piston and x1 head gasket, any way, i pulled it all apart and found out that piston the guy put in it b4 i brought it had put in a 2 ring piston and to my knowladge the rmx's run a 1 ring piston, right?
yep ne way ill put some pics up any info you have that might help me get my rmx running like a 250 2stroke should run, would be great!!!
thanks johnnie

I'd say that the last guy dropped a 95RM piston in it and it went.....???????

What does teh cyclinder look like? can you get a pic up for us? should be a new piston and away you go.

bugger dude always a bummer when a big bill hits you.
you can always just get a new piston and rings, and put it back together.
But then it might not last that long:innocent:

Have a look on ebay for parts, you should be able to find a new cyclinder for a good price.

The Wiseco piston kit is a two ring job, as are a couple of the other after-market ones that are out there.
Hope it goes ok with a new piston & ring; use a genuine head gasket; the after market ones can be a bit rubbish.

Couldn't you bore it out and sleeve it?
