Dirty air filter

hey there , just bought a new k&n air filter for my 04 zx10r , couldn't believe the state of the old one , also couldn't believe the power gains when the new one was fitted. so an easy mod to get more power might be as easy as checking your filter!

How long had that filter been in there??

two and a bit years , its been in for normal servicing and not sure if its been replaced or cleaned while its been in for those services ?

K&N Filters never need replacing as long as they are correctly cleaned and maintained using the correct cleaning solution and replacement oil. Never blow them out with high pressure air - just follow the instructions and use the right gear for a trouble-free time.

the old one was the factory original , not sure how much $$$$ they are worth but the new k&n was about $115 , for a million mile and a life time warranty not a bad price at all :-)

Yep, K&N have the best reputation as far as filters for any motor go. Your old one was a shocker!
