Well some, in fact pretty much all the trip has been gone over by Dangerous in his thread, the bighaul north, but seeing as everyone wants to see pics i thought i would post up some of the goodies that I found along the way.
Actually had a grand old time with my Mate Buellbabe, and the others too ...was really nice to catch up as we hadn't seen each other for 2 years, but you know how it is... just like we had only been apart for mere days rather than years, and slotted back into an easy routine.
We spent a lot of time at tech together in the eary days, then ended up sharing a room on our big OE in London (along with a Canadian for awhile but sheesh now THAT is a whole other story), and have been great mates ever since. So it was bloody awesome to finally be riding around together on bikes. We had only done brief hour or 2 trips before, so this was gonna be interesting to see how long it took till we got sick of each other... but bugger me it didn't even happen ;)
After spending 8 days, I was actually feeling rather sad to leave, i had had an absolute BALL! Just getting up , riding to a destination, pulling up a chair, eating and drinking then falling asleep, only to do it all again the next day....now THATS what life should be about!
I gotta say I think the pool party in Taupo HAD to be the best night! Was so funny running from the sauna to the pool (COOOOLLLLLD), then to the spa (HOOOOOOTTTT), then back to the sauna (Ferkin HOOOOTTT).
Anyway, I'm still too stuffed after arriving home on monday 6pm, and having worked 55 hours since then. I really gotta have a rest, so heres a few pics

Oh yeah and in 2 weeks the babes on Buells get to do it all again, with the Southern leg of the trip: starting off with BB probably pogo-sticking her way down to chch (unless anyone knows of a spare rear shock for an X1 she can borrow for a week or 2????). Then onto the march hare rally, and south to Chez Scummies, Catlins, Invergiggle, Te Anau, Wanaka, Fox, and Blackball.

Pic 3: Whangamata beach...not the best night, but still mild enough for a walk along the beach
Pic 4: the cleaner is in ;)
Pics 5&6: Bikes parked up at the Pukekoe (sp?)

Now that reminds me of one of the highlights...I knew this would happen once i started i wouldn't be able to stop... my wee blat out on the track! Damn that was a blast! They called out that anyone who wanted to do a couple of laps on the track could head out and line out...so i was off like a shot. A great op to have a go...ha!now I have even done something that Dangerous has not done!
Got out about 8th i guess and thought 'I'll just take it easy for the first lap"...got 1/4 the way round and thought "fck that, lets give it the beans" so i did...man was it FUN!! especially blatting past all the big blocks, and then even lapping a few...all in 3 laps...tehehehe
Mind you having all those fences along the track was a wee bit scary, no bloody run off there, but hey... I guess we are spoilt with Ruapuna.

Just to keep the thread up to date the 'Babes on Buell's tour' has made it to Invergiggle, passing through Chez Scumdogs last night.
Now a group of us escorted the girls to the March hare rally in the w/e and then they carried on there way by themselves.

BuellBabe is on a borrowed XB12R as her suspension wasnt rebuildable in time... so she offered to deliver XJ Turbo's new Bolt from Auckland to him in Wellington, but she kinda forgot to stop in Welly and has now ended up at the bottom of the country.

Good luck girls and enjoy the ride... Babe's on Buell's Tour 07 :scooter:

The bank thing was just a wind up the bikes looking sweet, BB was quit getting the fell of it by the Hare.
