Well my partner & I have just been away for the night (went to see the Crusty Demons in PN - which was fantastic btw!).
Upon returning the 1st thing I noticed was my bike, once again, has been deliberately damaged by some f*cktard who has no respect for my property!! Someone has obviously pushed my bike over but then, oddly someone has also put it right again - I figure the putting right was done by a fellow rider b/c it was put up on the centre stand and this isn't easy to do or obvious to a non-rider. So that's nice. She has only suffered minor damage - another smashed indicator lense and my bike cover has some holes in it now but, to put it politely: "MAN OH MAN AM I F*CKED OFF!!!!"
The reason I know this is deliberate damage as opposed to an accident is b/c I park my bike on the footpath (it's a wide footpath so impedes no-one). I recently got a cover for her too. We shifted to where we are now in Aug last year and previously my bike had been damaged deliberately twice (smashed headlight & pushed over agaist a concrete lamppost wrecking the newly painted tank) where I used to park it, as well as being knocked over twice on the street outside my work.
Arrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Now I'm off to the beach with my partner & dog. I really hate people sometimes...

What a gutting experience (finding damage without finding the culprit), hope karma comes back to haunt the f*tards.
Hope you find a better place to park your two wheeled beaut, no bike deserves that kinda treatment.:nono:

Some people just don't give a shit about other people's property. Pain for sure, but give them as little to mess with if you can.

That totally sucks Celtic :( Especially to be subject to such repeated attacks on your baby - I think you have every right to be totally fucked off! I sure would be! How frustrating and infuriating. What the hell is wrong with these morons?!
Shame noone caught the little shits (sorry, natural reaction to believe it's teenagers), or it might be time for some KB vigilante justice.

Celtic, I have loads of CB250RS parts. Do you want an indicator lens? Hell, I'll send you the whole indicator if you need it. Just send me the money for shipping, if it turns out to be more than a couple of bucks.
What a horrible thing to happen, though. And such a pretty bike, too :D

I understand that you are angry. I would be too. The people who did this are morons without doubt. Is it worth putting an alarm on your bike?
Maybe you need to big bad dog to sleep by your bike!
Report it to the cops as there may have been other reports of vandalism near your area and there may be a chance they get caught and can be linked to your damage.
I wish you well for getting things fixed and running again.

Em, you don't happen to live on Owen St do you? Like opposite 'zee bros' boy racers?
Just askin coz I've noticed an old bike parked up on the path with the cover on down that area.
If so, you're a brave woman. The only thing I'd leave on that footpath is a couple of pounds of Semtex in a big bag of nails.

Thanks everyone for your comments. My partner, the dog & I all went to the beach and I even got to have a swim. I've calmed down a bit now and I'm more deeply disappointed that enraged.
Em, you don't happen to live on Owen St do you? Like opposite 'zee bros' boy racers?
Yup that's me. Actually it's safer there than the last place I parked it...the 'zee bros' are okay actually. I thought about dropping some fliers around asking if anyone knew wot happened to it but, it's not worth the time & effort. I'll just get her sorted & carry on.

I dunno if it's worth reporting to the Police, they don't really seem that interested in that sort of thing.

Sheesh CSL, you have had some bad luck with BB havnt you? Perhaps your next place should have a garage, or even some off street parking would be a start.

There's just no telling what people will do these days. Years back in England I lived in a typical sleepy (or so I thought) residential housing estate and I kept a Kawasaki Zepyhr 1100 right by my front door and right outside the living room window. This still didn't stop some oik from dragging the cover off and slashing the seat. It's funny how after things like that happen, you tend to view everyone who comes into the street or up to the house, including the milkman or postman, with suspicion!
Sorry to hear of your frustrations CSL.

Funnily enough (and the point I lamely tried to make in another post) while murders and assaults etc make the news it's the little crimes like this that have the most impact on us all. Whether it be some oik leaving strips of rubber in 'your' street, smashing a letter box or tipping over your bike it's frustrating and annoying.
Worse - while the damage is small (relatively0 it's the hours required to track down a part and fit it etc only to have it happen again.
I'd hope the Police WOULD take this stuff seriously and try and stop it to make this a more caring society. Untill then, sorry Cathy - but the hard reality is that it will go on until you find a place undercover to park the wee beasty.....
Let me know if you need a hand replacing anything.

Hard luck my Celtic Lass! It would appear that no-one has any respect for other peoples property in this country any more!! I hope the pricks who knocked your bike over get a bad case of crabs!!!!!!!

Tell the Cops anyway.
They may not do something straight away but it's in the books and once they see some "trends" they may do something.

I thought the point was well made PinNZ. And yeah, usually these things are not expensive enough to involve insurance, so you need to do all the leg work which can be a right pain.
Do tell the cops, though from very recent experience be prepared for an attitude of "why are you wasting our time with this trivia". You actually have to do it in person at the cop shop, usually meaning time off work - again another hassle to add to the list.....

Man that sucks, give us a yell if there is anything we can help with.

When our brand-new car got smashed into my wife tried to calm me down with "at least it wasn't an accident and we [meaning the kids too] are all safe and OK".
Didn't help much then, but yeah, she was right.
There's worse ways for your bike to be damaged.
This is one of the quality of life issues. The buggers that caused us all this hassle will never be caught for it. Just have to sigh and continue. [and for me; resist the urge to go "can't beat 'em so may as well join 'em" and go try to burn down the country....]

Thanks everyone for your comments....

Yes I do understand what you mean. My point was if they did get caught it would show that they did a lot more than what was reported if only a few people reported it. I do see things in the media about cops having to attend to priority events but you have the right to make a report and if you choose it then they must attend to it.
We got our letter box vandalised down our street one night after a big party down the road. There were dozens of houses with vandalised letterboxes and broken fence pailings etc all down the street and around the corner for half a block. We drove around the neighbourhood and had a look. We decided to report it for the reasons I have outlined. I said to the cop that it felt silly to report such as minor thing and he told me what I have said earlier and said it was a part of the job to take an interest and follow up. It got documented and a report number created which we could use for insurance if we chose to. We didn't because we thought it was not worth it. I know my example is just a letter box and not as serious as your motorcycle but do think about reporting it. You have rights too. Good luck and I don't blame you for being annoyed.
