Actually I don't think she is the tallest woman, and she is not Dutch but American! In fact she is 6'5 and lives in Las Vegas and her name is Heather Haven. See her website for details.

Well my life is so boring I actually went and checked on it!
I remembered that I was perusing the interwebthingy recently and happened upon the world records of height and weight and such, and the record is currently attributed to an English woman (Sally Allen 7'7+1/4") but there is some dispute as there are at least 2 other candidates who were taller, one of whom is now departed, and the other is Chinese De-fen Yao at 7' 8+1/2".
All of whom suffer from Gigantism, or Giantism as it was also known, which comes from an over-active pituitary gland and causes all sorts of unpleasant consequences.
It is truly amazing how much useless crap can be found on the internet huh.

Snopes (http://www.snopes.com/photos/people/tallwoman.asp) disagrees with you I'm sorry, and they win. I've also seen a show with her on it and she was clearly not a very tall person.
