I have been oftered a set of Dragon Supercorsa, cheap 370+ fitted, brand new.
Should i go with these, i do ride in all weathers, thery are from suplus from nz suzuki race team.

I am going to need to replace my rear in after my wellington trip, i can have these put away for me if i do want them for when i need to put them on.

Are these a good tire, i ride all weathers remember

They're a bloody out standing tyre, C. But they will not offer anywhere near the grip your 014s do in the wet.

They'll give pretty good mileage and are the ducks nuts for track days.

Good price.

mmmmm i am very tempted, last time i had pirellis had nothing put problems

Thinking of putting the super Supercorsa on my bike and put my 014 front on the misses bike and get something like an 012 or simlar for her back, get rid of her dunlop 220

Agree fully.

I have one on the front and its great. The grooves don't go all the way to the edge so probably not the best in the wet, but still better than a sports touring tyre when warm and pushed hard through the odd wet patch....eh Jimbo ?

One thing to watch for: these come in different compounds viz.SC1/2?3 which are very soft/soft/less soft. You mght want to know what you're being offered in terms of likely mileage you'll get out of SC1s especially.

But that's a superb price. Just my SC1 120/70-17 front cost over $300 fitted

supercorsas are the bomb CJ! People bemoan their wet weather performance sometimes but its not atrocious (certainly not dangerous) provided you're sensible. Anyway, the dry weather smile you'll get makes up for it! good price too!

they are sc1's very soft they are put aside, just gotta wait for this 014 rear to die which be once i been to wellington and back

Cheers for all the info people

I think you'd be most surprised with the grip a warmed up supercorsa gives in the wet, the main problem is with standing water and or rivers trying to be roads leading down to kopu. You can't go wrong with them as for problems the only problem i have is that when city riding to work, being so soft they punchture easy and i've been told that it's not that safe to bung them.
Thats a sharp price to cajun, where you score that from?

Sweet F/F i got to pop in and see kerry as well, txt me when you're headed there and i might be able to meet you there, chances are it's a 180/55 on the back of yer 6, i got a 180 on the rear at the mo, i know there's all this you shouldn't run a 180 on the TL should be a 190 but meh, whatever's cheap suits me fine. Someone must be dumping cheapo Pirelli SuperCorsas on us or they are fakes made in China. I got a good price to stick a Dragon SC on the rear for the last track day. It was great on the track, extra grip and drive out of corners BUT be extra careful when wet or cold. It'll dump you quick as if cold. 190s weren't available for some reason. I will try a SC on the front when the current Diablo gives up but might go back to a Diablo on the rear.(save some $$ on wear). Seems changing the fr tyre improves turn in far more than changing the rr profile anyway. Give em a try Cajun, I'm pleased I did.

Cheers Mark, i not expecting it to last long. but at that price its a cheap go at pirelli tires, and also i think it help my riding alot, knowing i got a really sticky tire, might help push a bit harder. Once the rear tires i might put a diablo or something on the rear something little harder

Hey Bruce - I'd read somewhere that the 190 although original spec, makes for dodgy handling on the TL1000S, combined with that rotary damper. Apparently the 180 makes it much better....

but hey, what do I know. I don't own one.

I've got a 180-55/17 SC2 that's done a couple of track days. It's got lots of life left in it. PM me if you're interested

750y i done 4500 at moment, i think once i come back from wellington i should be over 6000kms by then it be getting to squred off for me, front is still find, its just this damn communting i am doing 250kms a week, on straight roads, backwards and forwards to work.

Hard to say celticno6, with the 180 on the TL turns a shitload faster, but with the 190 it kinda quiets the bike down in the responivness of it all, more stable, i rode mine without a steering damper on a 190 don't think i'd use a 180 without it on though.

I'm only going by stories i've heard that the TL's are more prone to losing the back an highsiding with a 180 on, i wouldn't know havn't done that yet.....

I'm not really the right kind of rider to prove better or worse of it all, i'm not slow but not so fast i'm going to be noticing half a turn of rebound or so, i've heard that people running ohlins in the rear are just gobsmacked at the difference it does to the bikes, me personally i'd rather save my coin ride it as it is and buy me a gixxer 750k4 that'll do everything better than an up-graded TLS outta the crate.

Hey Cajun I've changed my mind since the above post!
Got caught up the Hill yesterday by rain. Tyres were hot but the rear SC was too slippery for my liking. Spun out with stuff all provoking. Took the fun out of getting back home. Anyway, after that I've changed my mind and will stick with Diablos. The SC was good at the track but I want to be able enjoy every ride.

White trash.. Who's road u say it is?!(i presume u mean piekok hill) I go over rain or shine, day or night EVERYDAY!
As far as the supercorsa's go, I have nothing bad to say about any pirelli tyres. They wear good, grip like nothing else and give soo much confidence going quik into corners. I have them on my race bike, and the fairing is touching the ground mid corner now.(last round they touched just a bit too much, I even got handle bar down!) So that might give u an idea of the confidence they give.
