As some know I binned my scoot a couple of weeks ago and have been out of commission for the most part.
I ordered a new fairing from the States but when Nodrog went to fit it we worked out that it was for a different model ZX
Now as I'd never been to Paeroa's BOTS and the fact that I had a house full of bikers staying over I was pretty freck'n determined to get/ride there somehow, some way...so out came the duct tape,Kneed It and glue!
Ok...so after the above was applied with a healthy dose of WareHouse approved gloss black paint we had a goer....except for the fact I can't bend my left knee.
Ok...at this stage bourbon number 5 or 6 had made its way into the system and the brain/marble juices started to flow...what to do?
So I grabbed the broom, cut the end off, jammed it in the left Oggy Knob,Nodrog wrapped in some foam and cables ties and bob's ya aunty.
Oh...one more problem. Changing gears...add 1x 1/2" ring spanner and a piece of bamboo...place said spanner over gear shifter, tape bamboo to spanner and voila,we have a gear shifter!
Well yes I did make it to Paeroa and yes it was well worth the efforts myself but mostly Nodrog put into it,but the look on peoples faces as I passed them was Priceless!

Moral of the story? Ya can NEVER keep a determined true biker down :nono:
