4 stroke- no spark- no clue??
got xl125 given to me to fix, i have decided that is some to do the electornics
it got no sprak, and i have no clue, any ideas on what goin wrong would be a big help

try a new plug, measure teh coils resistance

Try a new plug.............still nothing check the plug lead and if nothing go backwards from there.............

will do how much are new plugs and what type will i need?

The bike shop will able to sell you one from the model and year of the bike.

Is there no plug in it allready??if there is get the numbers off it
If there is no plug,how do you know there is no spark???

:laugh: stick yah finger up the plug hole then kick it over allways good for a laugh if you start swearing and jumping around you need new plug. seen it done couldnt stop guy had no clue but shit did i laugh wouldnt listen.

Important!

Prak the bike in your gargre before checking for sprak.

check the plug,

Also check that your earths are good and not rusting, or broken,

Check all wires are connected


check for spark again


then yeah check resisence of coil etc

i have check all cables and earthings and still nothing, ne more ideas?

Have you checked for voltage on the low tension side of the coil?

If nothing, work backwards - points not opening? (if not CDI)

Depending on the year, it'll have points or a Cdi ignition. Look at the cam cover for CDI lettering to work out which is which.

Points fine? check the resistance of the ignition windings for open circuit
