Went out pricing up parts for my ZX10's proper rebuild yesterday and happened to ask the guy in the Kawa shop down here what he'd give me for my bike as a trade in its current condition just as an exercise in boredom more than anything.
Ummmmmm.....it arrives on friday and they'll be removing all the aftermarket goodies off my dinged ZX and installing them onto/into my new one. :Punk:

Bike looks a little better after having a double bubble screen and rear cowl added. Still not possitive re the flame job but will wait a couple of weeks before I go ripping them off :innocent:

Well we made it to Whangarei safe and sound about 10pm last night. About to have breakfast then wash the bike cause its got a few bugs on it. 410kms on it now and the clutch is settling in nicely so when the gear shifter gets fitted when I get back it will be up for the punishment! Its awesome to ride but I have to say Chris officially rode it first around and around the back yard of the shop before I was allowed to depart. Had a bloody cop sit hard on my arse through the Gorge between Waihi and Paeroa he was a real prick about it just dont understand why he had to follow so close. Anyways I wasnt doing anything wrong and he ended up leaving me alone. Avoided the current road works at Ngatea by turning at Paeroa headed up to Kopu then North. Meantime Im sure the Aprilia will be tried out with the gear shift conversion...:pinch:

Damn fine looking machine there Chris, almost looks as good as my GSXR - except yours is maybe a little cleaner.

As to the flames - nothing looks crappier than a flame job on a slow old piece of shit - but it isn't so bad on something that can go and does get ridden fast. Another thing is, does it make it an easy target for the cops?

Street magic has found another home buddy, as for the new bike? Dont think Im really qualified to say, all I know is its a brand new bike and all brand new bikes are awesome. The first 200ks was a real pain as I had strict instructions regarding rev's, not sitting it on one speed, scrubbing in the tyres, bedding in the brakes, and working through the gears properly. All Im doing is getting that first 1,000ks out of the way so it can be ridden propper like by the Master. All good at home in the meantime, T.I.E has stepped in on my behalf on Mocca duties, in fact he is making one as we speak. Now, Im off to wax the bike and make sure all is as it should be. I'll be heading south again tomorrow afternoon, hope to catch up with the Maha's, Noel etc hook up for a bit of a cruise on my way through.

Last one had the Muzzy system...so will this one on wednesday after its first service. The Power Commander and TRE from the other one will be fitted then too :Punk:

Last night when she got home which happened to be the first time it had been here,I had a decent look at the bike and have to admit it looks freck'n good....with the flames. She reckoned that she had not but ooooooo's and ahhhhhhhh's whenever she stopped at a gas stion or whatever too.

Got the bike back today from its first service. The guys at
Bay City Motorcycles,Tauranga (http://www.yellownet.co.nz/companies/Bay_City_Motorcycles.htm) have done an awesome job swapping out the standard exhaust for my full Muzzy system plus fitting my PC3 too.
Also a big thanks to Brent and crew at SAF (http://www.yellownet.co.nz/Pages/Search/Results/0,2741,a6001_m0,00.html?category=&businessName=SAF&location=New+Zealand&findit.value.x=0&findit.value.y=0) for fixing and polishing my once scraped up Muzzy can....looks like new now! I highly recommend them! :yes:
Much happier now the standard ZX10 exhaust has gone....fark knows why the hell they bring out a decent bike with such challenged looking mufflers :sick:
Also just received some smoked indicator lenses so best I go wack them on :sunny:
