Is it possible for KB email to have an option to use the basic HTML version instead of the 'heavy' standard version?

I know on Gmail this is possible because I use that interface at home, very nice and light for dial up connections :zzzz:

Just a thought.

Thanks.

Yep, I agree, plain text is the only real email (pine! pine!).

But he doesn't mean that (unless you know what he means and you were just talking about something else). The KB email client is gmail based -- in gmail you can have the standard javascript `AJAX' client, or an HTML simplification that, while less fancy, is substantially smaller to download and simpler for antiquated browsers (e.g., IE :D, yes I know it runs mostly OK in IE).

Maybe you can tamper with the URL a bit? I remember people doing that a while ago in gmail to get it to do tricky things, maybe it's as simple as a ?client=basic or something ridiculous. Play around with your normal gmail and see what pops up.

Ha, I don't like HTML email either, "Rich Text" people they are :msn-wink:

Anyway,

For Gmail standard version the url would be http://gmail.google.com/gmail but for the basic HTML Interface which has no JavaScript hoopla and therefore much smaller in size, the URL is http://mail.google.com/mail/h/. They are the URLs I use for my personal Gmail account.
