Ok so I put my bike down up north http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=44603 and I dont really like the red anyways. Ive come from USA and wear baby blue and pink leathers......Im thinking of painting my bike black with a pink tank or some kind of black/pink variation. Now I know that everyone here wears BLACK and for those women who dont have perfect anerexic bodies we look like men on bikes or dykes on bikes. Im a lady and wanna look like one and Im tired of everyone thinking im riding bitch on some mans bike. Ive had the bike only 3 weeks done 4000 ks on her and love it and dont see a change in bikes for me for quite a while.

Anyways what do you all think....
Is it a discrace to triumphs name?
If you saw it on the side of the road what would you think?
Would you ride bitch with me hehehehehe?

It's your bike so do it, for many people their bikes are statement of who they are so this seems like a very good way of making it uniquely you :) Perhaps when you flick it on you might want to think about repainting it as a pink bike may severely limit the type of person wishing to buy it :)

Good luck and post up some pictures when you are done.

P.S. You can buy pink helmets as well too you know :p

Pink? Don't do it unless you go the whole hog (wheels etc) and are prepared to own it the rest of your life...

Many other choices but pink? Um - not really very ladylike is it?

Triumphs racing colours were light blue / white so that could be an appealing choice.

tRUE TRUE....But i dont want it to be an eyesore. Just enough that when you get close you just KNOW its a ladies bike. Thats why I was thinking just the tank...and the rest black. Hmmmm Baby blue would work too....I cant play with colors to much with the red it is right now. So to do it Id have to redo the whole bike.... I figured it would be easy to repaint just the tank if I ever sold her..... but again the whole bike would have to be painted cause what the hell goes with red!

So I guess THIS (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=53125&d=1170916743) would be your hero?:innocent:

Edit: waaaaaiiiit a second- your riding gear and hers look alarmingly similar!

Pink? Don't do it unless you go the whole hog (wheels etc) and are prepared to own it the rest of your life...Awww I don't know... the YZF750s had a splash of pink, aren't weren't totally puke to look at. Doesn't actually have to hot pink either, does it?

Triumph have a colour on their books called: "Nuclear Pink".

It was one of the colours for the previous model Speed Triple and it looks awesome in real life. See if you can get the Triumph Colour charts and then you'll have a Sprint in a unique, but nonetheless factory colour.

I'd go the basic little black bike route and accessorise to add the feminine touch. Pink fluffy seat covers, mount a compact where a radar detector would go, a big glove box full of assort sunglasses you don't wear anymore and nearly finished lipsticks, old parking tickets you have not paid - you know...

Nuclear Pink definitely has a better ring to it than "British Racing Pink".

Hmmm. A pink Sprint..... heavily metalliced pink would go, I think.

Cool! They've kept it in the current line up.

The photo gives an idea, but in person it looks brilliant! Nearly as good as that green does!

i prefer the green - but then, i'm not so keen on pink anyway

- anyone got a piccy of PinkHogGirl's bike? THAT's [sort of] pink - certainly couldn't be mistaken for a blokes bike anyway? :scooter:

Go for it girl, paint it whatever makes you happy, electric lime and nuclear pink? sunburst orange with lime and pink detailing? Jade green with lightning patterns of silver and white?
Just do what moves you, you can always repaint it before selling it if you have to.

Im taking her tomorrow to see if it can be done....think i will go all pink. I dont see myself selling her. Im very happy and I like that shes a sport bike but a tourer too. Me coming off was user error and inexperience.....which Im working on. I have learnt so much since riding NZ roads (very diff from states)

1. Kneck warmers are the bomb.
2. Marino wool tops are great cause the weather changes here. Columbian ski clothing is also good.
3. Clear classes are wonderful enabling you to lift the visor and smell the coastal seas.
4. Dont wait to hear the gravel "lift your visor to see it"
5. Use a bum bag.....you wont lose your keys
6. Pannier bags look like crap but you wont cause youve got 10 changes of clothes.
7. Pannier bags will save your leg if you come off.
8. Newzealand has roadworks EVERYWHERE.
9. Riding with NZ Sports Forum guys to Akoroa will make you want to do wheelies.
10. Riding with NZ Sport Bike Forum guys will make you realize your slow and have alot to learn.
11. You cant ride a sports bike like a Harley.
12. Cages can be assholes internationally.

Oh, a few tassles on the jacket are bound to help too.

You will have no trouble selling the bike when you are finished with it. There are lots of "lady" riders out there looking for bikes like that. Just make sure the painter sprays the inside of the bodywork as well. It gives it that "factory finish" that a lot of repaints miss.
Nice to see someone not afraid to personalise their bike. I believe that sport bikes have been winning the custom bike shows in the USA for a while now.
