I would like to say on behalf of Dawn QKCHK we will be taking a step down from the ATNR for a while.
We are not sure for how long, but Dawns dad is on his deathbed in Auckland hospital he can go at any moment and probably over the next day or two. We were not sure that we were going to say anything but thereyou go
This is a very emotional time for her/us and we will keep you in touch.
Steve/Dawn

PM sent to the Qkks. Take care Steve and Dawn. Thoughts to you both.

What can I say? No really, what CAN i say without the overlords getting all pissy?

I think blackbuell wants me to call you all limp dicks or something but i couldn't possibly say now that could i?!

Yes, the Sth Auckland riders turned up at the Auckland ride and amongst them was III, loud and obnoxious for the most part, deliberately trying to draw attention

Of all the dorklanders who were there, only wickedone managed to rise to the challenge; kudos to the yapie, he put the blowhards to shame.

Gotta say that pub is just too North Shore for me. I'm just an ordinary kiwi bloke after all, not some pretentious prat in shiny white leather.

So y'all, the Sth Aucklanders crashed your party, do you fear the bridge or are ya gonna inflate those peni and wobble on down one day to enjoy the better roads south of dorkland?

AAAAAAAAAA WAS A GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUD ride.

Cheers all - especially my talented pillion... shit - we got that thing sussed now! We were quick enough, but now - fark! The RF loves being two up and those "quick lines" are becoming more available as things settle between rider pillion and bike...

I didn't stop smiling all night. Brilliant.

Thanks all for the fun. It went pretty good but man... the people on point have to sit somewhere visible... we had a couple of overshoots last night. You need to be standing so you can see the stream of bikes coming at you - or moreimportantly to they can EASILY see you...

I think youve got it about right Stranger but I think there are a few that were exceding the speed limit by a little bit seeing how it is only a 80 kph Zone.

Its the old case of city foke moving to the country and expecting it to be nice and Quiet then getting all pissy when 40 odd bikes go past and they cant here there TV's. Im not saying anybody was doing anything wrong im just saying they looked pretty shity (one had a pen and paper I think) and wouldnt heasitate going to the cops, or maybe somthing worse (sp?), Block of wood in the middle of a corner maybe, or maybe im the paraniod basted that thinks every one is out toget me, you make up your mind.

Anyway back to my original thought. We varry the route again for a few weeks let them think they have scared us and then come back when the heat has died down

Sure, I agree we should vary the route, we want to ensure as many residents as possible get to enjoy the pleasure of our company.

The higher gears piss people off less too. A bike screaming along in a low gear sounds faster than just rolling along in a high one. I use that while splitting all the time - and the RF's nice and quiet(ish) anyway so...

Went on the ride last night for the first time and it was fun, no doubt some of you can ride very very well and it felt good to be out. Bit of new seal, sun strike etc but all good.

Went down roads that I hadn't ridden before so really enjoyed that and met a few good people as well. All in all not the road race that I was sort of expecting and I managed to cruise along at legalish speeds without feeling out of place, no incidents, didnt get cut off, folks kept their distance, well organised and I may even do it again.

BTW going past that old bloke and the boy, I waved as well, doing maybe mid 70's

To you 'other' Aucklanders, I'll try and be a good boy and listen to what you have to say.
one thing though, as my turning up at your pub shows, we ARE likely to meet so please, do us all a favour and take ownership of your posts; be prepared to say the exact same in person as you do here; I am.

I am happy to have a rational and reasoned debate with anyone prepared to own what they say.

Now, as I said a while ago, we don't carry our machete's on our bikes down here so it's quite safe for you to come on down and enjoy the roads south of the line of demarcation.

Don't bother sending a pm to Dover, he's 12 months pregnant and rarely turns up on those rides anyway. Just check out the thread but even if there's not much banter, there is always a ride on. Even when nothing's been posted there have still been 6-8 riders waiting at the Drury Sth Autobahn between 6.30 and 7pm.

Is that jerk with AD(H)D still yarping on how big, bad, ugly he is?

Someone put his dummy back in ffs and tell him to go visit his local GP; not only will they provide him with the attention he so craves they may also be able to help with his dissorder. Shame they didn't diagnose pre school tho..

"Early diagnosis allows for early intervention which can have a significant positive effect on both the child and community. Without appropriate treatment, these problems may lead to, or be associated with, other emotional and social problems such as social failure, lying, cheating, stealing, fighting, delinquency, substance abuse and rejection by parents, siblings, teachers and peers."
