This story is 2nd hand..because I wasnt there....GOD DAMIT!!
My BF had the courage to go back out fishing today in his kayak. The bugger was soo keen he was gone by 5 o'clock in the morning. I got a very distorted call from him while I was at work, he sounded excited, i couldnt understand anything he was yelling at me..but I assumed he must of caught a really big fish or something.
Later on he called me again, this time he was in his van about to come home.
He told me he that him and his mate had paddled out about 2kms out before they anchored. They caught a heap of decent snapper. He looked up and saw a pod of whales infront of him and his mate pointed out another pod behind them. He said at this stage he wasnt felling very comfy. A huge bull with a smaller female headed straight towards them. When they were about 30 metres off from them, the orcas went down. He lost site of them until he saw the bull go under his kayak sideways. He said it was soo close he could have poked it with his paddle. About 30 metres or so past them, the bull leapt right out of the water. He said the Bull was "FARKING HUGE", and that seeing them on the tele' does them no justice.
I had shown Dan the vid of a orca leaping onto the kayaker earlier on, and he said this was all he was thinking about.
The man was like he was on speed..even when he was telling me about it.
Anyway, guess what we had for dinner tonight
