Well as you may or may not know, I got the RF400 going fine.
I took it to work yesterday for a run just to make sure everything was good.
It went really well too, nice and smooth.

Anyway I heard the Mrs take off this morning on 400 to go to work (she's been taking the Guzzi all last week).

I said "So,....what you think of the RF ? Going well, huh"
(expecting a "I love it" response)
Her reply was "Well, actually I prefer the Guzzi, now..!!!!"

Does this mean I'm relegated to the RF400 ????? :shit:

I wouldn't be worried what bike you are riding.
I am more concerned about the sex of the partner you are riding

ooops...meant to say "HER reply"....

See what the stress of this has caused !!!!

Put a dodgey plug in the guzzi and then take several weeks to sort it out...

Then I get the bus and she gets the RF.
I'll never win....

Carry a spare plug. Either that or you are going to have to book the Guzzi in for a "service" every day. That should buy you a week

I know where you can get this really nice Breva 750 and they do trade ins too.

Tell Fergus I sent you. :shifty:

Sell the 400. She's not going to let you keep a bike in the shed that's not going to get used. You know you're never getting 'your' bike back, so you may as well get another. Not necessarily to match but complimentary. Go forth a test ride..

Thanks for the ...errr..."advice" peoples...

Yup she like the fact that the Guzzi feels like a real bike (whatever that means).

Yes, Lemans, you are quite right there you did say so. SDU got hers, didn't she !!

And Mr Peanut, I have a girls bike?? Sheesh,....:kick:

I've 'lost' four bikes to my wife, first my ZXR400, then my ZX6R, then my KLX250, then my Z1000... I won't let her ride the RDLC if I can help it. Each time we've had to buy a his and hers and I get the crappy one.

Couple of cup fulls of water in the Guzzi tank when she's not looking . "Oh dear, not running well? Broken down? Oh, that's no good. It *is* Italian you know, they're like that. Maybe you should take the RF in the meantime, it'll be very reliable now it's sorted"

Assuming shes not a crypto wrenchwench of course.

Guitana
25th February 2007, 12:47
Sounds to me like you need to take back the power!!!! If my missus tried to take my bike I would chain her to the kitchen sink for a week!!
Or maybe this is the perfect time to buy that new bike!! If she takes the Guzzi you get to buy a new one!!! and she gets to pay it off!

nudemetalz

Not really an option at present, R1M (thanks though).
House renovations going on - this eats $$.

Just out of curiousity, what sort is the V11 Sport?
(ie year colour etc)

Amen to that brother, you are screwed, and so is your bank account!

Either trade her in for a learner, or go shopping for new bikes together, same bike, one in pink, one in black.

Although, that probably wont work either, you'll get stuck with the one with the most scratches, so you'll get the black one, instead of the pink one you wanted.

And Ozzie, umm,..pink bike would clash with my blue riding gear (which clashes with my, oops sorry, our, deep red Guzzi anyway).
