It's hard to find a lot of things in our limited market over here in NZ so I thought we could help each other out by passing on knowledge of what we have found and where we have found stuff ( a list of good helpful motorbike shops) maybe . For example I'm looking for a long range fuel tank, centre stand, bash plate, luggage rack and screen that are good for a 2004 dr 650 any help from people who have already kitted there dr out would be great cheers

Just been kitting out J's DR650.
From what i've found there is no one in New Zealand with big tanks anymore. We are looking at IMS (http://www.imsproducts.com/) 18.5litre tanks available from Auss agents or the US makers. Should be landed for just under $500.
Bashplate we got from DAS in Saxon St... about $220 (don't remember exactly)
Luggage rack we got a Suzuki original for about another $200 from SportsZone Suzuki, Manchester St.
Others I know are just using Ventura pack racks (cost about the same)
Screens... Seen some Spitfire ones in use (Erics has them for $200 again, don't know about sizing or if they are universal)
We are looking at making our own smaller version.

Yeah thanks for that it's a tough one i hate buying over the internet without having seen something especially for 500 bucks. I looked up ims and the seem to be an option safari also do one at 30 litres it looks great but about twice the price bugger

yea, don't consider a 30 litre tank to be suitable for J or I. Just too much weight in 30 litres of fuel.. even if it is carried low. I've seen the photos of one in use on a bike here in the threads somewhere.
